Those look horrible. It's like when I got a dishwasher. What I thought was milk glass drinkware turned out to be crystal.

Utah is a semi-arid/desert climate with some decent altitude, which means higher UV exposure...lots of salt in the winter...lots of dirt in the summer...not garaged...lots of reasons our headlights get crusty. Mine were refinished in several months ago, so relatively clear, but not perfect. What's up with Utah though, must be something in the air. My headlights are still crystal clear like new. I mean, we have nuclear plants, and crooked politicians throwing b.s. left and right, to name a couple.
I'd (almost) be expecting my lights to be oozing toxic pus by now. :happy175:

Used it to move my newly-graduated daughter's stuff from college to her new home...
Received my Mopar fan shroud from Avondale today. Maybe tomorrow I'll have some time to install the new fan and shroud.
Could you take a before and after picture after cutting through the shroud?
I'd like a reference when I do mine.
thanks!
Thanks for the pictures.
The thread holding my clutch fan was cross thread and is a real pain to remove so I'm going to attempt to cut the shroud while it's still on the jeep.
Did you just cut 'A' only or 'B' as well? Thanks

Bob,The cuts don't need to be very big at all - no more than 3/4" deep from the edge and only slightly wider than the diameter of the fan.
When the shroud is lifted up and out of the engine bay you're able to tilt it in such a way that it will slide right past the fan - so cutting too much of the shroud only weakens the shroud and reduces the efficiency of the fans.
Cut just a little bit at first and if it's not enough cut just a little more. Nothing worse than realizing you've cut too much - cuz ya' can't put it back
P.S. I can't tell by the pic above. Was the trimming done on the top, bottom or side of the shroud?
