Wasn't able to get anything done to the lib today... Wanted to do an AC charge with the Snap On deal at work but of course it's blazing hot here in the Flint, MI area so everybody and their mother wants their AC checked out! Oh the idiotic amount of estimates I had to write today... "Sir, you're vehicle's a rolling pile of shit because you've neglected it for the past ***,*** amount of miles." Story of my life.

So I take a thermometer (wish I had a thermal reader) place it under hood just above intake manifold, to simulate under hood air temp and...

Hmmm..that is interesting 161F is not that bad...Though if I had hood louvers, it would be lower I bet.
I guess I should try to remove the hood rubber seal & see if that makes any difference?

Husband took his daughter over to the expensive neighborhood across the way (lots of twisty roads with stop signs, turns both way and very little, if any, traffic) for driving practice before she went to work. And they took my Jeep offroad while there...

Supposedly. Not that either of them would admit it if it was unintentional.

Drove to and from work, amazed at how well the A/C is doing in this insane Humidity and Heat for Iowa. Heat index today was 105F high was 95F though honestly it felt hotter yesterday than it did today. I was able to move faster on foot today than I was able to yesterday.

Changed the oil. First time I've done it myself. I also washed and waxed it. Ended up taking the whole day, but it was a good day. :)

It's 88° with 70% humidity for a heat index of 97° - at 10:30 am...this is NOT going to be a good day to do anything on the Libby.

Have to make a beer run, or stock up beforehand? :)

This is why I don't do car work on days where the heat index is way higher than temperature with Humidity. I nearly got a heat stroke.

Excellent choice by judges, your KJ is a well modified winner!
How many KJ's were there?

Beside's mine? Sadly only one a nice Silver 03 limited. I'm afraid we're going to lose the Liberty category at this show. It's already lumped in with the Patriot, Compass & Commander.
So really not that great of an accomplishment. I hope my winning it again will aggravate some people into getting off the couch next year!

Oh and this event is peer judged - every entrant votes on all categories.
