Drove it up to a gun shop about an hour away to look at a few goodies. Ended up purchasing one that's now in MD handgun jail. Will have to drive back up next Saturday to get it.

Got gas on the way home, picked up a new set of jumper cables for it (the old ones from 4 vehicles ago finally cracked up - literally). 2 gauge 20' in a bag. Then the beer store, the grocery store and home.

Pretty good day :)

Hauled many bicycles, pedaled a trail with the family, hauled it and them all back, then did a $500 grocery run with it (no meats either.) Packed it stem to stern with groceries. It's a mule.

I went to ARB in Cairns and had my front coils replaced with new OME 927's. Its a much nicer ride now and handles much better. Lift went from 720mm to 777mm, or 2 ¼” (measured from under the front wheel to the base of the wheel flare) and slightly less on the passenger side. Im thinking i should do the rear springs now as it feels a little floaty in the back.
I also bought new tyres. I went with Maxxis 980s 245/70/R16. Ive never used this brand before but theyre pretty popular where i live so ill give em a shot. Good price, too. Theyre a chunky tyre and quite loud on the black stuff. Looking forward to testing them out offroad soon.

An ex-girlfriend came to town with her sister and mother for a few days, so I got to spend parts of the last 2 days with her. Yeah, I still love her, but we broke up nearly 25 years ago because she wanted kids and I'd already been there/done that (she's a lot younger than me). After the initial break-up period, we managed to become very good friends (it helped that her mother and sister worked for me back then).

Still, there's some frustration once in a while, so today I took off on a drive on some abandoned logging roads looking for pictures to make. Unfortunately, I don't make great photos when I'm inna mood, but I thought it could be a nice ride anyway. People piss me off though - people who think they don't have to pick up their trash (shotgun shells, bear bottles, soda cans, plastics, etc.). So I spent some angry time cursing and pickin' up shit people left behind... maybe part of the anger was over the whole ex-girlfriend thing.

What I used to do, back in the day when I had my own business and more money than sense, was go shopping when I got in a bad mood. Ya hafta go 80 miles to shop though, so I just came home, unloaded the crap from the back of my Jeep and watched a DVD movie. Then I heard that tell-tale "da-DING" that let me know I had email.

One of my forum members (I have a flooring forum) sold a big, expensive tool to another one of my members - something like 22K for a ride-on scraper - and sent me a $500 thank you. Now THAT can change a guy's mood. So, I just ordered 2927 front and 2948 rear ARB coil springs to keep my UCAs and Y-link extension company. Found them on eBay for 334.40 total.

I had to save the other 165 in case Christie wants to visit again tomorrow. That way, if I get all depressed again, I'll have a few dollars to shop with. :D

just 3 humans and 3 cats. we'd gone through a bunch of stuff over the summer so it was time to stock the pantry back up. I buy in bulk as much as possible so we'll have stuff that's been here for about a year, we'll go through and clear all that stuff out (eat it,) then restock with fresh. natural pantry ebbing and flowing is all.

you are reminding me that my foul weather stocks need reviewing though.
