My Mother just called............
90 year old Step Dad has been driving my 05 Limited
said something happened to the KJ
OK what ?
ran out of water we think, well none in it so we took it slow and drove part way home , until temp gauge went all the way over as far as it would go....................:favorites68::favorites68::favorites68::favorites68::favorites68:
How do you yell at your 85 year old Mom and 90 year old Stepfather................
So tomorrow drive 130 miles down to see what the damage is :favorites68::Bye::favorites68::Bye::blah:

Well, very slight leak in the radiator , don't think this was main cause though since no streaks, blow back etc like it has been leaking.
But swapping out radiator, thermostat, hoses, tensioner, belt and water pump Thursday
Its almost at 100,000 miles now so why not do it all now since its going to come home anyways sooner then later

Then we'll see what other damage they did:emotions34:
and fix that but hopefully none , ..............hopefully:Insane:

Vacuumed out a pound of dirt/rocks/salt from the winter.
Towed my camper back home from storage... damn tow module blew, lights not working... thinking about going with the full kit-and-ka-poodle with brake controller... read the post, seems convoluted. Need to read it another few times to wrap my head around it. Seems it should be easier than all that...

If you go back there I could use the chrome trim piece that goes around the lock on the rear driver's side door. :)

Scott

I went today, but wasn't able to get one of those, sorry :icon_neutral:. They are glued to the door panel, and I couldn't get them out without severely damaging them.

Got my top plates in from JBA now I am just waiting on my upper A arms which are supposed to come in tomorrow. Then I just need to run to the junk yard to pick up some rear isolators to add to the rear. Then it should be fully ready to head out on the trail come mid July when I make my run out to Ouray to go run Black Bear Pass and some other trails out there. Oh and I need another power steering pump haha this will be number six I think. I will eventually spend some money and go to a different parts store to get one. Advanced's brand *****!

I wish I could find another MaxxBrake unit. I want one as a spare to the one I have.

Said goodbye to the 02 today. Hope it finds a good home. Would have had it for 10 years in September. :icon_cry:

Switched out some interior dash panels, B-pillar panels, cowl cover, and the console lid for darker grey ones.

Before (stock pic I found online, I again forgot to take pictures):

I finished refining the two fin shaped custom bumper trim pieces I've been working for my project thread. And started making a pattern for two more trim pieces. Can't wait to get them all done, powder coated and mounted. It's gonna look sweeeeet!

Finished putting the backbone/winch on this morning. Went with the smittybilt x20 10k winch with steel cable.

Still need to wind the cable in under load. Never had a winch before.

hitch up to car and pull it in, or use it as an anchor and winch yourself to it. especially if you're on a slight incline, that'll be enough load to wind it properly. it's how I re-spool mine after using it.

I just feed it in myself, don't anchor it to anything. Just keep enough tension to guide it where you want it to spool.
