If you were going to pick a model year liberty to use as an infrequent spare car and plowing rig...
what year would you pick?
would you look for one with the NP242 t-case?

I'm finding a couple in the $1000 range, across the 02-07 model years...

I probably would stay with '05 older... then you skip a bunch of electronics. I wouldn't be fussy about the t-case for a spare vehicle. Use the 242 in your regular driver.

One concern I have with the 02/03 MYs is a lot seem to have motor issues. About half of the ones i've found have disclosed motor problems, and the other half say they "need a tune up", which my cynical mind says those motors are blown, or on their way out.

I'm kind of leaning towards an 05, simply because it'll have more swappable parts with my 07 if I decide to cut it up later on.

19 hours total plowing time over the past 2 days. I'm hammered and sore. Definitely need to improve traction (see the spartan locker thread.) It's a war zone out there, with all the trees down, wires and poles down, cars abandoned, etc.

Finally...55F today and even sunny!
The center brake was removed for cleaning again.
The dirt/moss etc was sticking to everything including the plastic housing seals.

Got the salt off a week ago at an auto power wash.
The digital weather techs currently look nasty & need soap/water bath too.

Maybe I should replace the center brake housing into LED ! Need red one, are they brighter than the 921 bulb?

TC, you spend more time on that third brake light... :happy175:

...of course, it makes me feel guilty because it's been a while since I cleaned up mine. :emotions34:

I am trying to imagine what the KJ's carpet would have been like, without the WeatherTechs..
