So there are certain ages that you have to move on from modifying your ride?
Had a guy tell me here a while back that I would have to give my toys up when it came time to buy a house etc, then he added and OH after you get over 45.
Had to laugh at the look on his face when I told him, I already bought a house, was way over 45 and was still playing with 4WDs

haha not saying modding is bad. Just for me it was time to go. Dont get me wrong I love a very tastefully done car. But having a family and house the practical thing to do was move. Thats what I did. ill most certainly mod the jeep lift tires etc. Plus the whole community was negative towards people's cars if it wasn't a certain way it was bad. Plus the fact no one was willing to help each other anymore either. From what ive gathered here everyone is very positive and willing to help and share ideas on a subject. Thats the community im looking for. hence the move.

all I can say is, I didn't start collecting toys until after I had a house.
Yea I got *some* stuff before that, but if I couldn't pack it in my car to move it I wasn't getting it. after the house though I went balls out on the toys...
cars
bikes
guns
cameras
etc.

I'm so sorry! :p

Just kidding! To each his own. VW's are nice pieces of work. I'm not sure on reliability because I have no experience.

Put about 30k on it since last April, been a good car so far. Faster and handles better than the KJ, but the stupid thing keeps getting hung up on rocks for some reason.

ThunderbirdJunkie definitely misses the KJ though :-(

When the US can build a good small car that's fun to drive and not have it built in Mexico or Korea, has headroom and a good driving position you'll have a point. ThunderbirdJunkie's wife's 2010 Fusion has less headroom and knee room, the steering wheel is about 2 inches off center, and despite being more powerful and lighter, is slower, and handles like shit. Until the US can build a small car that doesn't suck, ThunderbirdJunkie will enjoy his Hitlerwagen with its sticky tires.

I was thinking I'd ask my buddy at the NSA if they have any dirt on your new "project." Curious, getting really curious... ;)
