No tape. Took out the silicon dust barrier so it wouldn't fight being connected and used several small wire ties to be sure it doesn't drop out. It's good.

Except for the injectors there aren't two connectors on the thing with similar locking/latching puzzles.

Was yours plugged in? I had started parking my old Dodge Dualie near my garage when I was working 2 days a week in the winter, and between the heat from the heater and not being used for 5 days in a row, mice/squirells where ripping the hood liner and making nests. I would find out when I popped my hood to take the float charger off.

I never plug the jeep in.....pretty warm weather all year round in the area of South Africa that I live in....can unplug the glow plugs and start it up in mid-winter....shudders at startup with smoke but fires up OK.

I had 4 cats at the time and the mouse was probably looking for a safe home;)

Mesh bag, tied onto the washer bottle I have in the engine bay, change it out every couple of months
I then cut it smaller and toss it around the garage

after another couple of months pick up the scraps and take a nice long shower under the downspout ( out back of course and when it's raining )

I buy onions in them, also apples, oranges etc , they are free ! free ! FREE! LOL
But then I'm old and cheap , why buy when you have them laying around, soap in them, hickory and walnuts stored in them, use them to go out Morel picking , many things ;)

One time I came home and my two cats were staring at the vacuum cleaner in the dining room. It was off, so I got curious and picked it up. Turns out a mouse got in the house and they had been chasing it and it found a place to hide. All three started the chase again. I eventually took it outside and dispatched it when my big dumb one got tired of chasing it.

Finished clear coating the middle door trim strip plastic thingies. Going to try and stick em on at some point tomorrow. Also did driveshaft ujoints, pretty easy. Also assuming they've never been replaced, as the bad one had 2 ends literally crumble into reddish brown dust and needle fragments.

Replaced what I thought were burnt out fog light bulbs with 6k white LEDs. Turns out they are not burnt out, I had no idea they did not auto come on with the headlights, or even how to turn the fog lights on, such a newbie!
6k white looks awesome
Have new headlights coming, sans bulbs, soon. Will get 6k white leds for them as well.
Taking off the front grill was "fun" had to have neighbor help me by pushing in while I popped the catch with a screwdriver

Bad idea, KJ headlight housings are NOT designed for LEDs, will scatter light everywhere and blind oncoming traffic

Thinking of converting your halogen headlamps to HID or LED?

Good HID and LED headlamps are terrific; they can offer excellent safety performance and driver comfort, but only if they're designed and built from the start as HID or LED headlamps. Installing an "HID kit" or "LED bulbs" in a halogen headlamp isn't an upgrade, it's a large and serious safety downgrade. Halogen headlamps and LED/ HID headlamps require very different optics to produce a safe and effective—not to mention legal—beam pattern. How come? Because of the very different characteristics of the two kinds of light source.
