Forever black, its a cheaper option that I've got a year or so out of in the past. It still leaves the plastic porous, so you can still condition it as well. I got it $16 next day on amazon, which was a bonus since I wanted to do it quick, and I have 3 out of 4 renegade flares i'm waiting to put on when I complete them that I'll put a more permanent trim dye or paint depending what I decide.

Heading to the Home Despot after work to pick up a bunch of laminate flooring and paint. Gonna remodel a spare bedroom into a wunderkammer.

The Jeep’s loaded up for another camping trip. Kayaks are up top, and our gear is piles almost as high, minus a spot for the pooch! It should be another 500 mile trip.
Jeepy is in the shop for a new AC compressor and recharge. $$$. But AC is not something I am comfortable trying to repair myself. A compressor clutch or bearing sure, but not anything where the system needs to be evacuated and sealed back up.

It was just last sunday that I dyed the trim as a temp solution for the stock plastics while I continued my junkyard search for the pass front remaining renegade flare I need, been waiting for months.
Found some today on a 2003 renegade, granted different than the 05+, but I did check on a 06 liberty that had the flares ripped off of it and the mounting holes are the same on the fenders.
At the very bottom the plastic is cracked/broken about 2". I was almost going to head home when I saw that, but I thought what would it hurt to ask if they do a discount since they are in some way broken.
Guy looks at them and says man the best I can do is $5.45 a piece. I looked at him, then the flares, and said...

But did it work? Many have chased that rumble?
It sure did. I probably put close to 80 miles on since I changed them. I read some posts that fixed the rumble with a new torque converter but my rumble would happen even with the trans in neutral at 40-50 mph

Took the kj on a long drive to the closest harbor freight that had their new airless sprayer in stock, as graco wanted $150 just to look at one I bought that failed with 7 gallons through it. Did the definition of warranty change over the years and I didn't get the memo?
'Merican company disappointments aside, I before I filled up I threw in some seafoam since a friend gave me a bottle, but next little trip I want to do the techron cleaner I've read people using here. Is it the concentrate plus fuel system cleaner, and two bottles on a full tank?

Did that rumble almost sound like diff whine? Now that I no longer sound like a farted up dump truck, i'm back to sorting out this other noise, which is definitely wheel speed related and not engine/trans/t-case speed related. i'll need to look at the speedo next time, as I was more studying the engine RPMs at the time, but it seems to be in the 2200-2500 rpm range in like 5th gear, which might just be in the 40-50mph range. it "goes away" when I get off throttle or drop into neutral, and is somewhat load dependent in terms of severity. jeep has over 96k miles on it and could easily have original joints. never done u-joints ever.
i've done seafoam in the past. half a bottle sucked through a vac line into the intake, other half in the tank. 30 minute soak and croak, then rip it down the road looking i'm a real life version of Spy Hunter.

There wasn't any whine to this one. Two of the bearing on the front u joint were dry. Two years ago I replaced the rear u joint as that was causing a weird chirp, actually sounded like a tree frog
Yes they will be the same shape and should bolt right up. Check to make sure the body side plastic moldings are in the same location on the doors. Looking at photos I think they are.
Thank you Ill be doing this soon since I’m daily driving the 04 Kj now and the clear coat on the paint is gone, might do tailgate and hood also
