Did this swap in a 2004 about 9-10 years ago. Usually there is a hot lead and ground to the driver's seat that just requires a CB in the fuse box (as you found out). Now what you do is get some wire of the same gauge (that's important) as the driver's seat wiring. Tap off of your hot and...
All too well, especially since I mod one of the modern hemi groups....sweet jesus there is so much incorrect and just plain wrong bullsh!t out there
So for years I've seen where the 2005+ 3.7's were rated at 215hp vs 210hp for the 02-04's; don't you know I can't find a damn thing that spells that out lol. What I did find:
So I looked at 04 then 05 and indeed both cam part numbers are different between those two years. They also match...
You left out money. The main problem is trying to shove 2nd gen CAN bus engine and computers into a PCI bus vehicle and make it all work correctly. It would be easier to install it in OLD vehicle that doesn't have modern electronics at all. Even putting newer CAN bus stuff into an older CAN...
No you don't need to disconnect the battery if you're just removing them (unless the seats themselves have airbags) BUT DO NOT turn the key on (power the bus) while the seats are out. If you can't stick to that then yes, disconnect the battery. I can tell you from personal experience that...
If it's the 45RFE yes. If it's the 42RLE no. The manuals I'm not sure about, but most likely not. Depending on whether it comes out of a pre-eagle car or truck, that's 375 to 390 lb-ft on the stock cam.
Only if you have paper thin skin....
I didn't say shlt LOL. All I did was post pictures and a blurb from something I found that was KJ related. However what I will say is:
1. Don't come brand new into a forum and immediately get butthurt.
2. Grow a thicker skin.
3. Yes, the 3.7/4.7/5.7 use...
Yep. I linked the instructions for the fog light kit (it's the part number), if you didn't see it you should take a look. I also posted all the FSM's in here, though I don't think they ever turned it into a sticky: https://www.jeepkj.com/threads/factor-service-and-parts-manuals.58752/
This'll...
On an 03 lol? It almost is, you just have to find the correct compatible module. Installed one in a 2004 because my ex-wife was jealous of my Ram lol. This article (which is somehow still up) is very helpful: http://alucinari.net/jeep/kj/evic_install/
