And don't call it a car. It'll leave puddles...
Yes.
If you do this can you take notes and let us know how you did? I think it should be checked if you are lifting. It would make alignment a lot easier I think. I'd like to check mine, but how can you really measure to see if it is centered? I guess you could measure the shock's distance...
What tires do you have? We can't say anything to help unless you give this information. You could have brand new goodyear sr-a tires and still have crappy traction. Tires are everything in the snow.
Go get some Duratracs and then come back and tell us how good those are. The KJ is not an AWD...
Take the conduit nuts out, put the clevis back in the same spot. Try again. Heck paint it so it looks like it should be that way. Just try not to draw attention to that.
Yeah, thanks for reminding me of that. I can't believe these cvs. Hopefully I'll get a good one this time. I'm calling NAPA... they never have them in stock, they need to order them.
I'll be an old hand at the right CV before long at this rate.
...ordered.
Possibly another bad NAPA remanned cv. Do you think this is bad? It doesn't move much but it does seem to have a clunk coming from the CV joint itself.

What do you think?
This will be the second NAPA remanned I've gone through. in less than a year.
The driver side is solid...
I've been running around town with OD off so really doesn't apply to me. It is most noticeable around 50-55 anyways. Even in 4th it wouldn't be lugging too bad. It feels about like a shaft is loose and shifting around. Maybe my driver side cv is going out. I'm going to go look at a few things...
Not the tires. The guy said they were all about a half ounce out. Didn't fix anything.
I almost hear it now too. The noise is low pitch and you can feel it. I'd say it is about around the pitch the human ear can hear. 20 Hz?
Sometimes I wish something would just break instead of just driving...
No, see the driveshaft is on my workbench right now and I drove to work this morning. The vibes are still there.
I have one ordered because the boot is torn. I wish it was the CV tho.
I don't have anything narrowed down. It's wider than ever. It could be anything in the front even the tires. I don't think it is tires though because its a high frequency vibration. I'm gonna get them balanced though anyway of course.
It looks easy to get to the pinion with the driveshaft off.
I think it matters on caster angle too. I notice that when I lift the front without doing anything else it is easier to steer. Seems if you have more rake the harder it seems. I also changed out about a quart of fluid this summer and that really helped.
