Don't buy the daystar lift. And if you already did return it. I ran it for too long. When I pulled it off it was crap. And the suspension was like driving a boat on the open ocean. The front end rocked so bad that my wife started to get car sick at the end. Just don't do it. You are better with...
Is the one out of Idaho Springs the one that goes through the town of Alice? There is quite a set of trails up there. The Yankee hill set of trails is the set that I am refering to when I say they have gone to :favorites68:
I will definitely have to take you up on that offer. I am going to try and get out at least twice a month while the weather is good this summer. I am also going to try and get a little ways off from Denver this year due to the ripped up trails that are close by.
Yeah it is a good site to find the trails, but not as active as it once was from the looks of things. Also this time of year you aren't going to find a whole lot of trails that are clear and not snow packed. I have done a bit of wheeling up in the central city area. It is a great place to go see...
Got some plates welded onto the detour backbone and got my KC Pro Sport Gravity G6 LED lights mounted. Now I just need to adjust them so they throw correctly.
Has anyone figured out the model numbers for the 4" Bilistein shocks that fit our KJs? I am trying to shop around for them and I cant seem to find this information either. Thanks.
Welcome. I have the same year as you and I love mine and everything I have done to it so far. But as Tommudd said the best thing you can do is read, read, and read some more. Most likely all of your questions have been asked before.
So I got everything but the KC's mounted. Going to have to weld on a few brackets to hold the lights to the detour back bone and then I just have to plug in the lights to the harness and it will all be good to go. I also deleted the little fogs that I had in the front grill and covered the holes...
Has the vibration been getting worse? I just rebuilt the front driveshaft on the transfercase side and that helped a little but only pointed me towards the front cv's. So I am going to see if changing those out fixes my vibration that is slowly getting worse. And now when next to buildings at...
Thanks that would be really helpful. Due to all the talk of longer rear shocks on the forum as of late I realized that I am not going to get the full extension out of the ones that came with my OME lift as they are not the N132L's. I look forward to hearing what you figure out.
I have a friend...
Finally got my KC lights in. Ordered a new intermediate drive shaft. Getting ready to do the cv's in hope of eliminating the front vibration in the steering wheel.
So I changed the head gaskets on mine and did it for right around $600. Now that was for some of the specialty tools as well as new oil and parts and rags. All so that I could do it the right way. Cost also included lunch for a couple friends that helped me out. I got quoted about $2000-2500 to...
