What did you do to your jeep today?

Removed spare tire & carrier and stuck them in the back until I get my 5th full size tire/wheel. It came with 4 17" wheels and a 16" spare

Took her out for a little surprise ! I got her a new radiator, water pump and belt. Already have new thermostat and housing , 2 gallon of HOAT coolant , hoses and tensioner sitting here .
Tomorrow she gets some new parts hung on her.

Although I've had really good luck getting the local shops to price match (when you take into account labor and road hazard.)

I took 'em to my local NAPA shop and they did all the bushings for $25 each arm.

I cheated. Sue me. :happy175:

That's probably what I'll end up doing. Gave it another try today, with no luck. And I damaged one of the bushings in the process, so I'll have to get a new one first.

One of the LBJs I ordered from rockauto arrived with packaging that was torn apart (entire top side of the box was missing, and was being held together by tape), all the hardware was missing and the boot was torn.
Things never just go according to plan :emotions34:

Road hazard was included free and there are lots of certified or whatever installers around here. An no one here could get close to the price.

I also have a bit of a vibration... Apparently, the "toe out" alignment can be very slightly off. Will still ride straight, but vibrations and some minor "sway" can result. I don't recall if you mentioned what state your alignment is in. Also this is regurgitated info so don't quote me on it lol.

Has the vibration been getting worse? I just rebuilt the front driveshaft on the transfercase side and that helped a little but only pointed me towards the front cv's. So I am going to see if changing those out fixes my vibration that is slowly getting worse. And now when next to buildings at slow speed with the windows open I have started to hear a bit of a squeal from the front end. Just got my intermediate shaft in, just have to go pick it up now.

I'm sitting at F:23.25" R: 23" rocking 265/70/17(32x10.5). I have not done the pinch weld mod yet as I'm currently at work and my gf just picked it from getting the tires mounted. Once I get home I'm going to do the washer bottle mod and flatten the pinchweld. If anyone has some pics or a link to the How-To for the pinchweld I'd appreciate it.

Just cut the fender liner on each side, flip it up and hammer the weld over as hard and as flat as possible then put the flap back down, melt it with a heat gun and smooth it until you can't tell it was ever done
Once some dirt flies up onto it it'll look like it was brand new
