If you are putting in a winch too...make sure you have someone else there with you. I had my wife tighten the bolts while I held the bumper up and it was a PITA, lol. Without the winch I did it myself...just need to be a bit flexible. Install time was about...2 hours or less. The most for me...- Xodius

Another pinion reset question
I have 245/75/16 tires with a lift and never reset the pinion. I use my GPS and sometimes I am up and sometimes I am down in speeds I really do not care as it is within a couple either way. Besides radar guns are not accurate within 5 mph according to courts or over 200 yards. :) Helps to...- Xodius

Why would your Insurance premium go up? I have all types of steel that I have added on mine with out any increases. I have the ARB front with lights and winch and a custom rear bumper that I made with gas can holder, hi lift and bigger spare. As for the price...I honestly have not priced...- Xodius

Front brakes and rotors
I do my own brakes. Front are super easy to do. Turn the rotors for 25 a pcs and the pads are about 50-75 plus about an hour of work. At a dealer that is about right though. :). If you don't feel comfortable doing your own then that price isn't too bad. Plus it varies from area. I am in Vegas...- Xodius

Danged window regular broke again

Finally Completed then Totaled
Sorry to hear about that and glad your daughter is ok, that is all that matters. As for it being totaled I think it is due to the rocket panels. Alignment, motor mounts, bushings maybe cv axles. Does it pop when turning or make a whirling noise? At idle when you are parked? Maybe even you R&P.- Xodius

Pop noise and thud when turning left
Last night we finish putting the KJ back together. Runs nice but my bump steer is terrible so hopefully tonight a alignment. The last shop I took my arms too said they are not sure why the others had a hard time. Perhaps they were using the wrong tools? Royal pita but worth it. Lol. No more...- Xodius

JBA-4.5's damaged by USPS Gorillas & Attack Border DOGS!
No offense but I am with Tom. The scratches are superficial and the boot is an easy swap out. I would be perhaps a little irritated with the boot...figure just spent what 400 on them and to need a boot but at $2 for a boot big whoop. I got my 4.5's from Marlin and they too had some scratches...- Xodius

HOW TO: Install New A-Arms
Sounds good. I actually backed off the nut when I took the pic. All torqued up it is up a little more...maybe 1/4 thread more. This pic is at about....30 lbs roughly. -
HOW TO: 'Band-aid' a shot Steering Rack Bushing
hehe, I still have my bandaid there and it is still working pretty good. I just picked up some square rubber sheets for custom washers, cut my own and slapped them on it. Works pretty good but they are not "round" they are more...odd shaped, lol. Works though. -

How big of washer? When playing with mine yesterday I reset them and the hole is lower than the castle nut. Should I slap a couple of washers in there? I was wondering if that could be my popping noise when I turn. Just a thought. -

Agreed. I installed one of these and it works GREAT! Buy the aftermarket part and be done with it once and for all.- Xodius
