Both the OME and Ironman have great shocks, both front and rear. Inadequate????? Not sure where you heard or read that at???

I may have misinterpreted what you said in that thread.

From what I read, it seems to me that the length of the ironman rear shock is not adequately long enough. X.X
Sorry if misunderstood what was being pointed out in that thread.

That's referring to the length of the rear shocks. Less travel with the Ironman shocks, I assume. OME and Bolsters are a little longer to give you more droop.

When Ironman was first released over here I had the first set off the boat. They didn't offer extended length shocks at that time only standard length, so when testing they kept topping out. But soon after they came out with ones that are actually longer than the OME or Bilstein which some run
Most information carries through with everything/ up through the years, BUT just like we don't have one of the best shocks any more ( the Rancho RSX line) and some info like the Ironman shocks at first

Well this certainly clarifies things. I was scratching my head to why someone would be selling a kit with rear shocks not long enough. Silly me.

Thanks ya'll. I'll do more reading around before I post int he Lift section on what I would be considering.

Figure out what your budget is, how much lift you want and we can suggest a couple of ways to achieve that

Still at 2.25-2.5 inches of lift, what did you start out at?

Not the mountains.
Sitting at 22.5 front and rear now. I spent time today after class using the hobby shop's lift to dial it in.

Just took some measurements. Shocks and coils have about 2,000 miles on them (rear shocks now about 5,000). I just did some extra top plates and threw in some conduit nuts in the front.

Sitting at about 24.25 in the front and 22.5/22.25 in the back (Will be adding two insulators per side and Y-link extension).

That 24.25 is a little unnerving. Anyone have any words about that? Too high? Fine as long as it settles? I can take it down a bit with the conduit nuts. That wouldn't take me long at all.
