Pretty much centered, just so if and when it hits there is no chance of breaking off the grease zerk , Small saw, dremel etc will work fine

I was looking at it with a buddy and both of us were like...it looks like that could break the zerk. Thx you guys are a wealth of great info for us newbies.

I run that same RRO A-Arms set up on mine and I have never had any issues with them. The alignment has been fine each time, untell I have an issue with them. Then I will continue to use them.

Boy, that's a risky thing to say, with the "if you ain't JBA, you ain't shit" atmosphere around here. lol
RRO has urethane bushings, JBA has rubber. Could you tell any ride harshness difference between the original a-arms (rubber) and the RRO? Although that may not be a fair comparison if the original bushings were shot. But just curious if there was an "OMG" moment?

I believe most of the problem people have with RRO is two fold according to what I have read on the Forums.
#1. JBA was the first to manufacture the A-arms for the liberty and RRO copied them.
#2. They copied them poorly, quality was hit or miss.( may be better now I don't know).

First RRO waited and copied ( or tried to ) JBAs design
First models to come out did not fit, no matter what was tried, either wouldn't fit into the pockets or could not get a good alignment.
Then when you bought a set it was like pulling chickens teeth to get them to send another set It was always the customers fault .
( well documented on several posts on LOST) Either took months to get another set or to get money returned. Most all just gave up and went JBA and no more issues.
With JBA if there is any issue they have another set to you within most cases 24 hours, no questions asked. They provide great service and are always looking out for the customer, not sticking a buck in their pocket.
So thats only a couple of reasons for folks to stand behind and recommend JBA!
Of course you can buy from whom you want, but buying from a company that stands behind their product is better in the long run than dealing with one like RRO.
By the way I had heard horror stories from friends even before I bought my KJ in 2004, so knew first hand I would never deal with them just from their poor customer service/products on other models .

One copied part of another persons idea isn't a valid point, that's free enterprise. Without that, we would still be a society of having a mix of cars and horse drawn buggies on the street. Now, good or bad customer service, that goes a long way for keeping or losing customers.

This is true, agree to a point, BUT then do not advertise that you have the first and best design after you start producing them like they did for a while.
Its all on how products are presented / made / produced / advertised and customer service.
My buddy had a 01 Toyota Tacoma that he bought some parts ( skids/rockrails) from RRO in 2002. Long story bad parts/ no return on money / no replacement parts etc. He started searching RRO, found a lot of horror stories, including one good one. They had a picture then of a Tacoma all decked out, problem was none of the parts on it was from RRO, the owner never gave them permission to use the photo, it was just pulled off the internet. They advertised it as being one of their project vehicles . :thumbsdown:
But we could go on and on, some will spend less money no matter what. Thats why Walmart is taking over the country, some people will shop there no matter, thinking they are getting a good deal. Who cares if it falls apart next week:icon_lol:
I'll spend a little bit more, buy something that I know is better and will, if I have a problem be replaced/ or repaired

I guess some of us have been lucky enough to have seen the growth of these companies and parts that are available to us and how things were handled.
Heck I can remember the day when you could only lift a KJ 2 to 2.5 inches, anymore was sure to make it undriveable:icon_lol::icon_lol:

I knew that my post would stir up a hornet's nest. In the beginning, I just wanted to lift my KJ. I didn't do my research with the first lift, the OME springs and set up that I have now. I'm happy with, and if the RRO A-Arms give me an issue then I will be on board with the rest of you ( JBA A-Arms).

I don't think or see it as stirring up any "hornets nest"
I see it as just good discussion.
Problem is any more people get too butt hurt over nothing at all, when all it amounts to is a good discussion of parts/ prices / how to do something.
If you sit around with your friends discussing something I'm sure not everyone agrees with you and you'll more or less be really riding your buddy of not agreeing and saying why he is wrong and providing examples.
I like to debate but its not politically correct any longer I guess
I've had weekends when there were 10-12 Jeeps in my driveway and lots of good discussions, not one person ever thought it was stirring up a hornets nest

Even though nobody here likes RRO, their bump stop plate/ball joint protector is a nice touch. Oh, but it's not red!

lol...you may have missed a post from the past in a different thread, which is what that was a reeference to.
A member was comparing the RRO and JBA bars. One of the major differences he saw was that one was red, the other was black. :emotions34:

CactusJacked, To answer your question about if the urethane bushing v/s rubber bushings ride harsh. I would say no, the OEM A-Arms bushings were shot all to hell. So when I lifted it I installed the RRO's at that time. The only thing about the urethane bushings is in warm weather they are squeaky.:happy160:

I have done business with RRO and in fact I have some roof rails coming from them now. I have always had good luck with them.

Hit or miss with RRO
Forgot until today they still owe 03CDKJ ( here in Ohio) money for returned junk parts from 2004

Glad we have other / better suppliers :icon_lol:

And for good products and customer service, we have JBA. Any others for the plus or minus list?

I really like this idea. I'm not above doing my own research, but I was seriously considering RRO until I ended up hear and starting reading everything. It's been might helpful to know where I should and shouldn't go, and what risk I'll be taking if I choose to ignore everyone's advice.
