(yesterday) Washed the crud off. I got a new pressure washer a couple months ago and bought a foam cannon attachment for it. I wish I had taken a picture, but it looked like it was lathered up with shaving cream once I soaped it up.

Naturally, once it had dried I spotted a few tiny areas I missed. Need to run over it again. The inside is going to be a little bit of work too.

Those are a lot of fun. What soap did you use? Tip: fill the lance with hot water first and then add the soap. Makes it foam better and you don't loose half your soap filling it! Took me awhile to figure that out, but you're smarter than me!

Yes I am fully aware
But sometimes dreams do come true ya know
and I know of one that an older ( than me LOL ) guy has, been talking to him for last ten years and someday .............

Yea. I mean I did pick up that car in March, for a price only a hundred or two above what it probably should have been really.
No harm in looking; sometimes you get lucky.

After 17 year, 9 months , various lifts, 3 different front bumpers, two rear, various skid plates, two sets of rock rails, different interior,
many full fluid changes , tuneups , 3 different roof racks and untold hours trying new and different things on it
I started it, rolled out of the barn and onto a fifth wheel trailer heading to a new home
May have been a tear involved .:(
Longest I have ever owned a vehicle in the last 52 years of having a legal drivers license

Don't take this wrong, but you and I seem to be air-cooled vw nerds now driving fixed up "not a real" jeeps and now I find out you mountain bike! I think we'd get along in real life.

I do t ride bikes much any more, bad neck injury from back in the day makes it painful to hold my head at bike angles.

Somehow made it through the explosion riddled holiday without a drink. Celebrated week two #2 by detailing Bert for the trip and cleaning/ rewaterproofing my ARB tent. Of course it’s mulberry season right now so immediately after I have purple-stained bird crap on everything…

I've gone so far down the rabbit hole with detailing, it's hilarious.
Currently i'm using MEGUIAR'S Wash & Wax (pink, haven't gotten the new yellow version), 1:10 in my foam cannon (cheapie amazon/ebay/harbor freight version) connected to my electric pressure washer (also HF), being fed by hot water. Makes a nice slick foamy layer for a maintenance wash. Prep/decon/polish wash I'm testing out various Chemical Guys snow foam flavors still.

So, embarrassed. But, 400$ later and my LONGstanding ABS issue is resolved. Turns out it was the DRIVER side wheel bearing, in addition to a bad sensor on the passenger Moog right out of the box. So- free sensor. New Moog on the driver. Full alignment, trans flush and filter, and diff oil all around. Managed to leverage a friends and family, military, AND educator discount. ( note best man from my last wedding is the manager hence the triple stack).

Damn thing never threw a single code beyond passenger ABS bad/loss of coms across 5 different readers. But it threw them today at this shop.

Bert is done. Bring on the desert.

Side note: shared the arb sheet and all of my JeepKJ guru notes with one of the mechanics that has a gorgeous, all stock, rust free KJ renegade…they all pooped their pants when I showed them the “Bert doing Wrangler stuff at Tuttle Creek” videos.

Beating the shit out of the frozen camber bolt on my driver front lower control arm the one closest to the bumper. I just cooked this **** 30 miles down interstate 80 doing between 75-somewhere about as fast as it'll go only to back out of the space at the post office right off the interstate and the entire ****** thing just decides it doesn't wanna sit in its home under the hub and leaves me sit in a parking lot blocking most of the entrance 3 miles away from my house. Probably wouldve been a fun ride had it popped out going 100 plus. Edit so it doesn't block out shit but it blocks out t u r d

Replaced upstream O2 sensors and charcoal canister. Fixed leaky differential gasket. Another new gas cap (gasket split AGAIN). Reset CEL.
Had to wash off the ocean salt spray from last trip and sadly all the street-cred dirt went with it.
Now the wait begins again for emissions codes to reappear. Hopefully not. @JohnnyO - Never say your Jeep is done!
