Strange place to buy a safe?
not really.
oddly enough, despite NJ being a horrifically anti-gun state (seriously, "you own firearms at your peril" so says a NJ appeals court judge.) gun safes are tax free. you can order many different ones through TS and go pick them up.

Greased the upper and lower ball joints on both front corners. No more squeakage.
Strangely enough, greasing the ball joints reduced, but didn’t totally eliminate the “clunk” noise that has been driving me crazy since the summer. Now I am wondering if I have a bad ball joint, with extra play in it. It could have been bad from the get go, but it is possible it got starved for grease and wore itself out. I had to repair my grease gun today because it wasn’t working correctly… which means I could have thought they got greased when I installed them but they may not have been (or not much). The ball joints were brand new Moogs so I am thinking it is more likely my mistake than a defective unit. If they can last until the summer, I’ll replace the LBJ’s when I replace the steering rack.

Saw Bert again out on the roads. Daughter's partner didn't even wave. They haven't washed the ScienceMobile in a really long time. Sigh.
Love the Rubicon. Really miss Bert.
I hear ya - I love my Tacoma with all it's new car techy stuff, but also really like driving my Liberty - i'm torn between the two :)

Yea but you're a "subject" not a "citizen." Y'all need to get some 1776 in your blood. Or even dare I say some French, but only some 1792. And make sure you focus it in the right direction.

Keep your powder dry, and your rifle by your side.

I continue to have intermittent beeping, just one beep, no lights, nothing else.

I had had more of it some time ago, so I got a new battery. Well, I went to get a new battery, this was about 4 or 5 months ago.

I went into the generic, el cheapo auto parts chain store and asked for the battery I wanted for the 2008 KK. He brought one and put it on the counter and asked, cash or charge?

I looked at the date on the battery. It was 1 year and one month old.

I asked could he go back and get the newest one he had?

He said "oh, we get them all at the same time and so they all have the same date."

So I went over to the shelf and took the one from the back, all the way back (they stock them from behind the shelves). It was one month old.

Sometimes you think you are buying a new battery? But you are buying one a year or more old. I guess they don't sell too many of the 35 size at the local to me store.

And the "clerks" are always so helpful.

I've done it a couple of times too, first time I fitted a universal CV boot on the shaft after it failed inspection on a totally missing rubber boot on the shaft, that probably lasted 15 miles after the inspection but it passed! Second time was to remove the two stainless tywraps that were all that was left of the boot and fit the correct part and clean all the old grease and muck out of the joint.
