The new 6 pin clock spring is in and the rear audio controls now work with the Kenwood head unit. The ASWC-1 was a bit of a pain to program, but their customer service was great and open on weekends.

How much did that set you back? And keep us posted on how they perform. I'm considering a set of dedicated snows for mine as well, and I don't mind spending the extra $ if the performance is there.

$1130 CDN out the door... thats after taxes, enviro fee, and factoring in a slight discount through work.

The gf got started with Nokians when she lived in Calgary. Since then her whole ext. family (in BC's okanagan) runs them in the winter. Best winter tires IMO. :winner_third_h4h:

oh i've heard great things about them, just that they're NOT cheap.

washed it, wiped it down, paint is mega gritty so I need to clay bar everything I guess.
also, guess who's joining the rust around the 3rd brake light crowd? THIS GUY

I touched up all my plastics and my led wiring harness finally came in so I got all my stuff together for that. Just had a brand new power steering pump put in. I also vacuumed her out. Not looking to bad for 198,000 miles.

Checked out my brakes had some squeaking going on. I disassembled and inspected. I greased everything and reassembled. Still squeaking. Atleast i was able to rotate the tires without a problem. Also did an oil change.

I had some of that going on about a month ago, new pads and rotors up front did it. How do the pads look? Mine weren't at the wear indicators but the passenger side pads were making some strange noises.

There is no wear indicator on these pads. The rotors are a year old and pads are practically brand new. The one clip was bent up so i replaced them. I never greased the slides or clips. The three times i have done my brakes i just put grease on the pad. I never knew so today i greased the slides the back of the pads and the clips. I figure i will give it a week before i worry about it again.

Pulled the dash, for the fourth time to replace the Blend door actuator. Honestly, I'm happy. Albeit, I was mad that I had to pull it on the 4th of July to do the heater core (which I don't understand why it failed, that was replaced maybe 5 years ago AND I have a new engine) on top of that, the same day I pulled it out twice more because my radio didn't work after it was all done. Turned out to be a fuse. ON TOP OF THAT, face and feet went to feet and defrost and defrost went to face and feet, so, replaced the actuator today, blew through the vacuum lines and very meticulously ran everything the way it was supposed to be, not sure what it was, but that's fixed too. Oh boy...just in time I guess..phew..leaving in 14 days.

I used Part Time 4WD for once. I was trying to get up a steep, slippery dirt track. I didn't make it in Full time 4WD, so I threw it into Part Time and had another crack. Got up first go!
