If that set was near me I'd jump on 'em in a heartbeat. They're impossible to find here.

Maybe it's just me, but the thought runs through my mind, "ever'body's got Moabs." Find something unique. Save a little here, a little there and before you know it, you got enough to get something most Jeepers don't have.

The nice thing about Moabs is they look right, ( they're a Jeep product ) have the right backspacing, you can actually balance them the correct way with weights on both sides, and they are not black Soft 8s.
I've liked their look from the time they came out, have owned 3 sets since then. They are stronger than most of the aftermarket wheels as well since they are forged not the cheaper cast.
So while they may not be as unique as some other aftermarket wheels they work great. Plus not putting your wheels down Jim ( as they look good on yours ) but I see more of those around here than Moabs.
I think they must of had a special on them somewhere around here , all of the wrangler crowd have them, well a lot do.

Just emailed the seller. I'm kind of thinking I can't loose. If I run them, great, if not, should be easy to get my money back.

Finally got the new gage cluster in and got rid of the abs, vss, and cluster faults. So happy to not have that abs light staring me in the face. Didn't like the black trim gauges as much as I thought I would, so I swapped over the stock limited trim over

Do you have to flash your mileage on to it? Or is that stored elsewhere?
Yes, the mileage is stored in the cluster so unless you don't mind whatever mileage the donor has than you need to reflash. Mine shows 69k miles, wasn't really worried about changing it lol.

Changed the transmission fluid and filter. Judging by the colour of the old fluid, it really needed doing! Now for the transfer case.

you can swap the module inside the cluster.

Yeah, but good luck getting the needles back in the right position. I took apart my stock cluster to look for any shorts or burns in the board when trying to find the cause of the abs light being on in a non-abs rig, and the needle's pins move causing everything to be off when you put them back on. There's a trick with a 9v battery that powers each guage so the needle would be straight up, but it didn't work on the kj cluster. Easiest solutions, either flash it or deal with it.

After 1 week of owning my KJ I gave it some real love today. She's pretty clean to start with but my touch brought that sparkle out. I think she looks great for 10 years old. Also detailed my GTI

Blew through a 3-4ft wall of concrete-snow to get into my driveway. Then promptly got stuck in the end of the driveway (which is where I wanted it anyways).

Wow, I never noticed that 07 KJs have an open cooling system and not closed...as in, your reservoir isn't pressurized and you have a cap on your rad. 06 and older have a pressurized cap on the reservoir and no rad cap.

I was noticing the same thing! Never knew that.

I drove my Jeep all weekend. Also used a wood reinforcement bracket and a couple of tiny bolts to relocate my rear brake hose (the one that runs from the top of the driver wheel well to the junction block on the axle) about 4" lower. No more worrying about stretching it while offroading! All for under a dollar. Hoping those really small bolts I used will hold!

not all 07s , just like the PCV valves are set up differently in later 07s.. same as KKs setup...gaint pain for me to change because of the massive wad of wires all taped up sitting on top of it

Interesting, I guess I don't know the differences either.
On a side note my CEL came back on with P0304 and P0300 but only after I put back my OEM coil packs, and interesting that I had changed 5 back to OEM and number cylinder 6 was still a new aftermarket, I changed that last one last night and upon warming it up this morning it through that code. So not sure it would throw that code for cylinder 4 when I changed cylinder 6, maybe fooled because they are so close to each other. I'm going to change it back and see what happens.
It idles at 650 and does not move around but I do have a lot of engine shake, I have read that is normal for our trucks but still chasing this down.
I also found a hole in the muffler while I was washing it yesterday, I don't know if that has anything do with it, maybe back pressure is throwing things off?

Doubt it. I ran no muffler for a bit with no missing.

Today..... installed new ATs and rims and a crank sensor.. still chasing down the dreaded misfire.

already replaced Coils, plugs, cam sensor.

Will look into PCM and Fuel injectors since Compression is good across the board.

Changed the sway bar bushings and end links.

Does anyone happen to know the size of the LCA bolt/nut? My 22mm socket is too small, 27mm is too big. I'm guessing it's probably 24 or 25mm, but I'd prefer to avoid the hassle of buying the wrong one, trying to clean the rust off of it and returning it.
