Somewhere between being sane and insane!
Yep, just when you think you'll go a weekend without wrenching on something, bam.

Think a Jeeps bad try putting a 18hp engine in a 1/5 scale RC designed for 3hp.Even with the hardened trans gears I've completely exploded 2 trans(gears flew apart).I still haven't gotten to fully tune the engine in yet so not even making full power.

Did finally find a set of the special trans gears designed for this engines power, the company only made about 100 sets.

Did you get it out without pulling the diff and LCAs? Mine came out really easily, getting the new one in was a bear. My Napa had a reman one in stock.

Looking at trying to replace that driver side bushing on the rack. Or add some washers. Think that was my clunk the whole time I see it moving when parked and someone else moves the steering back and forth.

My new exhaust aka rear cat should be here today so I can finally stop dealing with the holes in the Y pipe section

Next up is bed liner the rockers and get an oil spray before snow

That's exactly your clunk I bet. Mine used to do it. Hard to get that bushing out, mine wouldn't even come out when I had taken the rack out. I'd just shim it with washers.

Someone on here did that. You pretty much have to go through 95% of the hassle that you would to replace the rack. Should be able to just shove some rubber washers in to make it feel better, cheap and easy.

I had to remove the whole front differential because the transmission shop that just did work on it put the front driveshaft in backwards. Then to put a cherry on top they cranked the living day lights out of the bolts on the differential end and as a direct result 2 bolt heads snapped off and 2 bolt heads rounded so the only way to get the bolts out was to remove the differential because the driveshaft could not clear the remains of the bolts.

I'd been back at the transmission shop beating on the door

Did my rack bushings today. Unbolted the TREs, disconnected steering shaft, Unbolted the rack, removed oil filter and drip tray. Then moved the rack so the bushings were hanging over and used a long flat head to tap them out from top of the engine bay with hood open. Then just tapped the new ones in from the bottom. Put in drip tray and oil filter, connected steering shaft, then rack, then TREs.

Its a good thing I had the jeep towed back home from the transmission shop. I don't even want to know what would have happened if I drove the jeep home with the front driveshaft the way it was.
