I only took the jeep to the transmission shop because I didn't want to take the transmission out again. I put it in the first time, and then when it started leaking fluid i just said you deal with with. I payed for them to remove and reinstall the transmission and they covered the transmission leak under warranty.

Never seen that before or heard

Yea. My 02. Still leaning its quirks. I noticed once before when I turn the lights off it's goes head lightts parking lights then push in for fogs then off. Sometimes if you do it , when you get to off , one of the lights will come back on again.
Weird.
my 03 never did that.

You talking about the courtesy lights? Turn the Jeep off, then turn the lights off but the lights stay on for a minute to let you get in your house. It's a nice little feature that many cars nowadays don't have.

No it's definitely the headlights turning back on

My other car is an 04 and the headlights go off by themselves so I didn't know if this jeep had something similar or a OEM alarm. Key fob just has a panic button

No kidding. My day was similar. The front rotors , 4 shocks , 4 springs , 2 UCAs, and the rear cat / pipe - $50 lol

Right side cv axle and intermediate shaft replaced today. I found it easier if not necessary to remove the knuckle and the shock, maybe just because they came out stuck together.

Anyone notice when you turn your headlights off they come back on by themselves ?
That is very strange..
Thurs, even tho I had the interior lights tuned off at stalk, my neighbor notified me at 1AM that my jeep interior lights were on!
I used the key to enter, & the second I opened door the lights went off!

Drove it to the LAOPS for another monster can of brake fluid, then to NAPA to get flare nuts and a coupler.

Working on the Astro, had a few bad brake lines. Salt kills.

Man I'd love to find one of those. Is it 1:18 scale?

TPMS light came on today and the passenger front tire was low by 6 lbs. Weird, just aired them up last weekend.

05 and up the leather seats are flatter/ no real support, very uncomfortable IMO , hate driving the 05
02-04s have great side blousters, ( think thats what you call them, LOL) and just a better overall seat, more comfortable

Pulled my skid plate off to get the mud out.
If anyone has been following - I been chasing a clunk.
Turns out I found my diff bushing bolt was only threaded on by a few threads. I could easily move the bolt back and forth. No idea on the history of the jeep besides an elderly man with all services done at dealer (huge stack of dealer receipts came with it)
So I removed the rack bolt and zapped the bushing bolt down
Interested in a test ride now.
I'm shocked I never seen this because the bolt head was flush with the body each time I inspected.
If that's the case I have a perfectly good intermediate shaft for sale soon :)
