The 4.10 swap was not the easiest, but again I was doing a bunch of upgrades in the process. I have a used set of 4.10 gears and a Trac loc limited slip with only 100,000 miles on it. ITS FOR SALE just make a offer. I also have new ring gear mounting bolts as well.
Does swapping out the differential as an assembly require the complicated setup process?

Looked at it while I worked on the Astro. Again.

That's funny, I spent more time than I planned changing the rear springs and shocks on the wife's Sienna. Over 230k on the stockers was more than enough but still damn near took one spring to the face when I popped it out. All this in the bay next to my KJ.

That’s not real funny. Neither was mine; had to replace the radiator and both hoses in the middle of replacing all of the front brake lines and bleeding everything. Originally a fleet vehicle in Indiana, it apparently never got its undercarriage washed. I replaced the rear brake line and the fuel lines behind the fuel filter a year ago.

Wouldn’t have bothered, but the body is great and the engine and trans are strong.

Not really , of course depending on what year you have , after 05 bit more to do.
Front is easy enough as well
The way we do it don't even need to bleed brakes etc afterwards

Washed, detailed, changed rad, tried to swap front driveshaft but noticed i had the wrong one after i took the original out(now looking for a cheaper alternative) , changed cracked rad, flushed cooling /heating system, cleaned k&n filter, polished the fog off the headlights and fog lights, and touched uo stone chips to seal before winter salt hits the roads

Rebuild sounds like the option I'll go with. I had pulled a brand new driveshaft from the wrecker for $30. But it's 19.5 w-w. And mine is 16. 5 w-w. I didn't know there was 2 different length of driveshafts with the vs auto. As for the k&n. Yeah. No power change but it sounds awesome at wot

Yesterday. Oil change and tire rotation. Noticed I need to do the rear brakes. Will do brakes, plugs and grease everything this upcoming weekend.

It can take a while, but its not complicated. The things that take the longest is taking out the old bolts and positioning in the new differential/ axle.

Installed a Sony double din head unit and a backup camera. I had the camera from an other vehicle, or would not have added it. Stock speakers sound way better with the sony head unit. it has a remote mic and bluetooth, with touch screen so answering call swill be easy.

Thought I screwed up the Jeep bad. After installing the Jeep would not turn over. Turn the key, nothing. Had plenty of juice, even tried to jump it.

It seems like we put the jeep in some sort of theft mode, maybe turning it of in low gear to have more room to work in dash.

However, next morning it started right up.

I should have bought a dremel and not used a hacksaw.

I also added a curt tow wiring harness to it. Now the daughter can tow the boat when she learns how.
