I believe the m1 and k&n filter is the same except the k&n has a spot for a wrench on the end. Makes it easier to get out.

I changed out the transfer case position switch. Initially I tried to go the console removal route but I ended doing it from underneath the Jeep. It took me only 5 minutes doing it from underneath. Light on the dash is off now and all indications match up to lever position. GTG.

Touched up my rock rails from where I scuffed them wheeling and on the step part. Then I sprayed the pinchweld tube with Fluid film and the door jambs as well.

Love that stuff. Make sure you pop off your plastic step panels and spray inside the rocker panel. Also use the red stick to get inside the holes on the bottom of the doors behind the weather strip

Thanks for that. My KJ came with a pretty detailed folder of all the work the original owner did and none of it included window regulators. So, that link (the top one you posted) is what I will order.



The part you are referring to is a hunert bucks. That's just for one window. It might be the best part available, but if my parts lasted 12 years and the new parts Sota linked me to only last half that, I'm still way ahead financially. Since I already got 1 foot in the grave, I think I'm making a wise decision.

I just checked, and I can tell you the parts I have are made of metal, delrin, and rubber in the appropriate places. the metal parts are pretty beefy too.

picked up a set of 5 tj moabs friday night, dropped them off yesterday to be powdercoated matte black. they will be getting plasti-dipped for protection after i mount some tires on them. should have them back in december.

I'm almost positive that sensor crapped out when I had a dead coil and the fuel was burning inside the mandifold causing it glow cherry red.
Guess I'll order both uppers Maybe that's also why my MPG is

if you did that to the manifold, you might just consider replacing the downstream too. and considering the sensors aren't THAT expensive, and depending on your mileage, replace all 4 and call it good.

I get arguments about this constantly, but I've seen faulty downstream sensors screw up fueling in ways people don't expect them to, or believe.

eta: do 02's have downstream sensors too?

And you could be on to something. Normally they just see a change to make sure the cat is working.
However on my one GM vehicle , it runs a "cat test" in which it dumps fuel or runs slightly rich to see a change on the rear o2 reading. If it's bad or not working or in some cases an emulator was used , the test will never end and you'll always be running slightly rich

Downstream O2's have nothing to do with setting fual/air ratio(short term/long term fuel trims and injector pulse width),they only are there to monitor the catalyst efficiency.

And yes every vehicle sold in the US(meaning OBDII controlled) has 1 upstream and 1 downstream O2 sensor per cylinder bank or main cat(s).

Actually false,the test will not complete and turn on the MIL.

If the test does not auto stop either a programmer was used to alter the PCM programming or the PCM is bad.

alignment done. all numbers nicely in the green. will post image in a bit.

they gave me a list of items they think need doing:
battery tested as "replace" (bought 01/2013 so I can believe that)
brake fluid change (did brakes on 04/2016. I always replace fluid when I change brakes.)
fuel system cleaning (seafoam in the tank time!)
diff fluid (done on 01/2016 at 60k. at 70k now)
... interestingly they only show it as a single diff service, and not both, and they want to put in limited slip differential fluid even though I have an open diff
spark plugs (that might need doing. last record I have says 33k I put them in.)

guess I need a battery, some plugs, a can or 3 of seafoam, and a couple beers!

bought a new set of tires last night, yokohama geolander A/T G015 265/70R16 should go nicely with the newly powder-coated MOABs. next on the list will be a new muffler and tailpipe.

And i'm not disagreeing with the intent/design of the sensors, but I can tell you from experience with multiple vehicles (interestingly, all chryslers, and all NGC 4-plug equipped vehicles) when the downstream O2 sensor has problems weird things can happen. I get it it's a sample of 1 person, but considering (for at least my 2007 KJ) the upstream and downstream sensors are the same part number, and they're $25.79 over at rock auto, doing all 4 at once isn't going to break the bank. If anything I'd be more worried about the cat connected to the glowing manifold.

edit before post: I just looked up a 2002 on Rock Auto, and it has 4 different part numbers for each of the 4 sensors. Wild.

Well ya I should've elaborated more instead of being lazy. Yeah the test runs each time the car reaches the OBD set points to run the test. Then after a few fails the light comes on for the rear o2. It's been a thorn in my side when I first got the car since my 03 regal does this test and making tuning a pita. So to remove it , I had to use dhp to extract my bin and then tiny tuner to remove the test. HPtuners does not allow that, which is what software I used. A friend of mine removed it for me. The earlier years 97-01 didn't have to worry about it and tossed on an emulator. I posted a video of the regal of anyone is interested or just look for 03blackgsx on YouTube
