Been too sick to leave the house the last several days, but I have to get my rear window regulators fixed. I wanted to do them myself, but this is not the time of year conducive to DIY auto repairs for the oxygen challenged. So, I had a friend follow me to my mechanic's yard, dropped off my KJ and drive me home again - all while still in sweats and slippers. :birgits_tiredcoffee

I don't know why it took all day for them (my mechanic) to tell me the automatic window regulator repair kit wasn't enough. According to them, I need the motor and everything. So, another $141.00 (2 units) into it and their delay means I prob'ly won't have it fixed until next week. Thanksgiving means they'll be closed until Monday.

On top of that, my so-called friend forgot me today, didn't even return my text message reminders, so I wasn't even able to pick up my Jeep. I guess it's not a big deal, since I'm still not feeling well enough to go anywhere. It'd just be nice to know my KJ was sitting in the drive in case of an emergency during the rain and snow we're getting.

I'm tellin' ya, it ***** to be me. ;)

Well not my KJ but a customers............................

Got to write on a service ticket for the 2nd time..........................

"Rabbit under the hood PTS"

4 hours later after repairing all the wiring the owner decided to park it in the garage from now on.

And yes the rabbit was still under the hood and just would not leave the shop.

nice.
I need to make a note of that as a reason why I need "indoor" storage capacity for all my vehicles, as I continue to fight the town nazis.

Final (hopefully!) question about if it's the front wheel bearings.
Sometimes I notice, under heav(y/ier) braking, a growling sound. Sometimes it's loud, sometimes it's quiet, sometimes it's not there. When it does it it's about 50/50 it'll vary in intensity if I vary my braking effort.

Heard there's an update to my 02 and 03 pcv system that doesn't use the filler neck. Anyone heard of this? I wouldn't mind adding this if it meant replacing the old crusty filler neck with a new one that didn't collect oil/moisture residue.

There was a TSB to switch it to the 07 style which puts the PCV by the firewall, maybe they had that done?

Odd I have never had any of that on my '02.

I've always used Mobil 1 5w-30 and run the piss out of the engine and I also change the PCV every year also with a dealer one.

Well I got the 02 in July so I had no control over the PO's maintenance
I been using a blend the last 3 times until I go full sun.

I also don't run it hard? Maybe I should...
