did an oil change.
been so long since I did one I forgot how to pour a bottle and not make a mess.
needs brakes all around.
passenger front axle outer boot is slinging grease.
pretty sure I have all the needed parts. now I just have to get the will to do it all.

why am I seeing a lot of reports that irish spring doesn't do anything, and in fact attracts them?
Probably a regional mouse preferance. Or, a variation in quality control or off-brand knock-offs. Not all Dove bars are created equal.

Changed the battery yesterday. (It still had the original MOPAR battery from 2012!)
I'd like to smack the guy who thought putting it under the passenger seat was a good idea. Turned a 1 beer job into a 3 beer job.... or maybe I should thank him,LOL:D

Flushed out the heater core, and bled the coolent system.
From stone cold no heat everywhere, to 131 Fahrenheit coming out of the front vents and floor is an improvement.
Still stone cold coming out of the defrost register.

oh I know. I'm not afraid to do it. Brakes aren't my first rodeo. Just gotta get the will to do it is all.

Also, going to live with the axle until at least next spring. I see no reason to toss brand new bits in there that'll get abused this winter plowing... hopefully. Daddy needs to still pay for the snow tires.

Also worked on the old commando, got the horn, front and rear spotlights working, got it to turn over a few times. Now just need parts money. Oh yeah, and to redo literally Every. Single. Wire. All of em. Underhood, underdash, the few loose ones dangling in the breeze. This might take a while...

I dropped the fuel tank and replaced the Fuel Pump/Sending unit and got rid of the U1411 code I was getting. Then had a slow leak in the evaporation line and got a new code for a "Very Minor Leak". I thought I fixed that, and now it spits fuel out when filling it. This is not the "end of the fill blurp"; this is instantaneous when I pull the trigger. I can fill it but i have to let the fuel run in at a trickle. Any thoughts? I plan on revisiting the evapline off the top of the tank that I already "fixed".

UPDATE: In dropping the tank I snapped the fitting for the evaporation line. I had to use a brass stint and glue the fitting back on. I suspected that I when I reglued the fitting, some glue plugged the opening. So I disconnected the line and used 1/16 steel wire as a catheter and tried to break through the glue. It worked: I can refuel at full speed....and only deal with the blurp at shutoff.

After deep cleaning the seats and carpeting last weekend, it looks immensely better than it did before.

Replaced the belt and tensioner today. Just realized I hadn’t done it in almost 7 years
