I'd suggest no more than about 8 inches to one side or the other, though most factory installations (not just Jeep) have them to the left. Any further away and you run the risk of your trailer's harness being too short to reach the plug or the harness being pulled out of the plug on sharp turns.

This is the way my factory install looks - from edge of receiver to center of plug is about 8 inches:

I believe you it just seems mine is taking a little longer, that's why I'm keeping an eye on it . Could be time for a thermostat change.

That was my first thought. I warm mine for 1-2 mins, then drive 2 miles to work. I'm up to temp less than 1 mile into my trip.

I'll be doing mine soon, almost 30,000 since last antifreeze flush ( well driveway flush) and thermostat change .

Why thank you! Guys at the local shops are surprised when I tell em it's an '03 when they work on it the first time. Tell them it takes a lot of work and an unlimited wash pass at the local self-serve car wash joint :icon_lol:

Tom, my neighbor gave me crap a couple of weeks ago when I took out the seats and then painted the coil springs, axle, front suspension etc. 'Bob, I've never seen the under side of my car - let alone painted it...'

A lot of folks just don't care anymore. I was looking online for another KJ and found one up in Cleveland area, low mileage ( 56,000 for on a 04) underneath looked as if it was sitting in the ocean the last ten years. Salesman kept telling me it wasn't an issue :happy175::icon_lol:

Yesterday had recall done - nice hitch btw. Today changed spark plugs, fluids in the front and rear differentials along with ****** and transfer case. Old plugs and fluids looked very clean with the ****** magnet also being clear. Now I'm ready for winter :burnout:

I've had mine for a year as of last week and I love it more and more - what a fun vehicle.

Fixed my rear window defroster - the tab on the window broke.

and its winter here again so it was needed.

Luckily not. More like someone turned both keys to missile in the back! No slip launches. Works better than my old Subaru did!

What lift are you putting on Sota? I just did mine a month ago and love it. Took a bit to get used to the height but I was measuring 17 1/2" hub to fender all around. Now I am 23" hub to fender in the front and 22" hub to fender in the back. I no longer feel the train tracks when I go over them :)

From your earlier measurement center of hub to flare you were sagged an inch in front and were still at factory height rear. We need your measurements to be center of hub to flare( to many variabilitys - tire height ) to be able to know exactly how much lift you have.

Inch or more from new stock height, forget the other measurements ( fender to floor ) it will just confuse others who maybe looking at what height you were or they should be.
