Darn you can bold numbers (dropmouth)
As stated, you pay $15k+ for say a 2012 KK with ~40k mi, $20k for these parts, and what, probably $4k-$6k for it all to be installed since you're talking axles and everything else?
Now, if you can add, this figure adds up to around $40k+ depending on how much the installer charges so I'm not quite sure why you're trying to compare these numbers
If we're talking looks and opinions, I think a Wrangler looks way better than any other Jeep ever has and ever will
Again, that's my opinion so don't be getting all butt hurt about it now

Even if you used your KJ you have already for example, you'd be spending more than if I already had a Wrangler and wanted 37s, correct?
Considering a Wrangler wouldn't even need 10"-12" of lift to run 37s in the first place, nor would the lift be $20k :happy175:

Have you priced a built new wrangler lately? Some are in the six figure realm! But the point is moot , you like wranglers I do also but not as well as a KJ for my purposes. Why would I want to put time and money into something I don't like as well?

No I wouldn't have as much , you can have your Wranglers all day every day
BUT then you are in your mind right , due to you have a KJ but down deep want a Wrangler so no matter what you will always think they are superior in every way

Just like you think Liberty's are superior in every way
What do you mean I haven't priced it out recently?
You just gave the figures on what it would cost, at most $38,000
Which is still less than buying a newer KK and doing the long arm kit
So what point are you trying to make? LOL you make no sense

Finally got around to relocating the rear brake lines just to be safe even though all I have is a spacer lift. Plan on getting ome come December or the beginning of next year. Also went and picked up the spare that I ordered for the wife's renegade sport since it didn't come with one. The wheel, tire, and lugs were cheaper than a donut kit from jeep, and now she has a full size spare.

I got groceries in mine.

Also not jeep related, but i replaced the passenger ball joint on my dodge shadow. yea, it was bad. so bad I'm actually surprised the ball didn't fall out of the socket. it was so loose it could do the meatspin with no effort what so ever.

For a Rubicon indeed it is lol
I've already got mine priced out, no worries :waytogo:
You all get so mad because you think a KJ is the best vehicle that ever has driven down the road :happy175:
I think there are many good looking vehicles out there especially when lifted
When I get my Wrangler after my KJ gives up on me and eventually lift it and get some nice big tires I'll let y'all know what price point I sit at
There are many things you can do to them to make them stand out compared to other JKs
I do agree that a KJ stands out well if you SFA it but that's really the only way
Once you lift it around 3"-3.5" (pretty well maxed out with stock parts) and get MAYBE 31s (oh don't forget regear) it fills the fenders again and it doesn't even hardly look lifted anymore
My KJ feels and looks low compared to even a stock JKU
And there are so many more options for them regarding appearance, performance, etc
I can get a set of front and rear bumpers for a JK cheaper than I can get only a front bumper for a KJ
But instead I have to deal with some nice gray plastic because I'm not wasting $2k for a bumper

lighten up francis.

but you do realize that the reason that there are so many affordable and good quality options, accessories, and upgrades for wranglers is because a long time ago, some relatively small time shop started making custom built stuff that became the prototypes for all of the production kits. same with the XJ's, toyota's, etc...

if you want a jk, get one.

lets keep this thread on track.

i bought a new battery for the jeep...now i am shopping around for an AGM battery charger.

i'm sorry tom, but i just can't see the difference, it might be distinguishable if you stuff a dana 60 under the front end but AFAIK, there are only 2 jeeps on this forum.

TJKJ2002's

and that one that everyone else keeps posting pictures of.

the only way i can find my way back to mine in a parking lot is by tying a string to the door handle and the other end to my belt loop.

i forgot to do this once and i survived for 13 days by eating nuts and berries while i searched the forests.
