Changed the rear gate latch. I was intermittent but mostly not working. Got it at AutoPartsMopar for $207 including shipping. It was really easy to replace, three bolts, connector, and a little arm going to window release. Works like a champ and the new part was made in Canada, not China.

Replaced the passenger window regulator so I can drive it to work finally [emoji23] too cold in the mornings for it to be down.

Also found more leaks tonight [emoji24]

Gotta fix em just one by one....

Wow, I've done both my rear ones and one side twice but never a front one.

OMG! VVS. That was some funny shit right there! At first I thought WTF are you posting, he must of clicked the wrong link, I actually X'd out right away and then for some reason I was drawn back and clicked it again! That emoticon where the smiley burst out laughing and spews coffee at the computer, well that actually almost happened.

Bert
EDIT: watched it again.

So, gigantic update time!

1 month ago:
Began reassembly of engine
  • Got crankshaft polished,
  • gauged bearing tolerances
  • assembled pistons
  • dropped in crankshaft and pistons
  • attached heads
  • assembled timing chain (what a pain in the butt!)

3 weeks ago:
  • attached timing chain cover
  • exhaust manifolds
  • motor mounts
  • new transmission front seal

Last Sunday:
  • dropped the engine in the Jeep!
  • accidentally cut open the front drive shaft boot (whoops)

Today:
  • bolted engine to bell housing
  • bolted flex plate to torque converter
  • bolted on structural cover
  • added knock sensors
  • installed new spark plugs

Pics from dropping the engine!

We got no Hope, no Cash, no Jobs.
