towed my friends fully laden 7000# gross trailer up his driveway. was supposed to pull it into the street so that the tree company could get in his back yard, but they took too long with the one tree so they'll be back tomorrow. I'll get pictures.

One of the first things I did with my Liberty was tow the truck it replaced(a 1996 Dodge 3500 Dualie Diesel) out of the parking spot it came to rest in after the trans line blew and dumped all the fluid out until I came to a stop. It clocks in at 5.5k curb weight, and the Liberty didn't seem to care.
oh yea. I bought mine to be a mule. excluding the 5 miles I put on it as a test drive at the car lot, the first 90 miles of me driving it involved it towing home the car (and dolly) I used to get to said car lot to buy said jeep.

Oil change this morning before the world cup. Viva la France!! Also priced out pads and a few other things for the brake job, rotors are good but I'm contemplating getting new shoes. Gonna get everything next weekend when Napa is having their bucket sale here in South Portland, 20% off.

Finished getting the front end pretty much back together. I just need to get the full weight on the tires and torque the remaining bolts that need to be under load.
Replacing all the bushings on the front lower control arms is a whole lot easier with the right tools

Went camping with my Jeep and some mates. It was a great trip with plenty of mud crabs for dinner.
The corrugations were pretty nasty at times. I noticed when i got home that one side of the mounts for the e-fan had sheared off and the fan was hanging on by the remaining bolt, leaning dangerously close to the mechanical fan. I wouldnt have made it home if that happened out bush! Its temporarily held in place with a trusty ziptie.
Also, looking under the Jeep when I got home, the two rear bolts holding on my front skid plate have been rattled out of their little holes. Now I cant get the bolts out to put new ones in! Im not a fan of those Rivnut things. I guess ill have to angle grind the heads of the bolts off or something?? Again, the skid plate is currently being supported by some trusty zipties!

a fist full of zipties should be standard equipment in every vehicle. It's almost astonishing what temporary repairs you can make with them. Them, and a couple feet of 12 or 14 gauge copper wire; leave the insulation on to make using it easier.
