One thing to keep in mind that I read up on when it was time to replace mine, aftermarket and original equipment don't seem to play well when it comes to sensors. So, after yesterday's misgivings/disillusionment (see elsewhere), finally got the replacement axleshaft swapped in & everything back together. So I'm content for the moment.
Oh, & started the hunt for an ABS sensor (no just walking into a parts store & buying such things over the counter here). Looks like RockAuto might be best bet, but it'll have to wait to next weekend, 'cos I don't have my $ payment card with me.
Things are a little different here as it's aftermarket or nothing (unless by good fortune you get sent NOS parts) because main dealers have little knowledge of, & certainly no interest in, anything much over 5 years old. But, like everything else, there are brands you can trust & those to avoid. I bought an ABS sensor from RA before because it was so cheap it was worth the chance, so that gives a little comfort this time around. Not so sure about "white box" hubs though - but I'm hoping to avoid having to make that call. One thing to keep in mind that I read up on when it was time to replace mine, aftermarket and original equipment don't seem to play well when it comes to sensors.
I ended up replacing hub and sensor together with a china aftermarket one. I normally don't like going china, but usa isn't the quality it used to be. If I could look into the future and know the usa one I got would hold up, I'd of spent the 3x+ price they wanted. But, both with a 1 year warranty, and not being able to see and feel them in person, I couldn't justify the huge price difference.

If you ever figure out how to do that, let me know! My dash has been lit up for a few years. I love not having traction control, but it also cancels out the cruise control...ABS/Wheel Speed Sensor #11. All is well for now. MOOG sending a replacement for the one that came with the hub for free. Requested refunds for 5 others.
Wish there was a way to just disable that garbage.

I have a replacement Zumbrota unit, but am waiting for a new Transfer Case Yolk seal. This should be a great thread that we can keep going. That way we can all keep up with the small day to day tinkering and give some ideas to those looking to do something! Pics are strongly encouraged!!! (Cheers)

Then after at least 500 change gear oil and can go a bit longer .
Disabling the ESP helps driveability on faster dirt roads ...If you ever figure out how to do that, let me know! My dash has been lit up for a few years. I love not having traction control, but it also cancels out the cruise control...
