The whirring noise is still there. It comes on around 55-60mph. My buddy at work thinks it could be a bearing either in the transmission or the t-case. I’m hoping it’s not.

We took my jeep to bring our niece back to her people today. We got 6” of snow last night, and our usual road down had not been plowed yet. So, we were stuck going 40-45mph since it was hard to tell what was road and what was ditch.

Also, I put the 100,000th mile of my ownership on the heep today. This is my first vehicle I’ve been able to do that with.

Its awesome people are still enjoying these Jeeps. I recently just purchased my 2004 Liberty Sport. How has your ownership been for the 100,000 miles you've owned it?

Pulled the front diff and driveshafts out of my parts Jeep, amazingly easy, everything just came undone without a fight, it's ready to pull 3 hours after I started & the oil I drained out was clean and golden without any shrapnel.
I'm buying a lottery ticket tonight, in must be my lucky day!!

Need to split the long driveshaft, if all the splines on that are good too I'm in clover! Lol

THREE times today I used the 11mm wrench that I just started keeping in Giddyup's saddlebags to purge the air out of her fuel filter cartridge so that I could keep her from bucking and falling flat n her face.

The first time was out of unfortunate necessity after a quick pit stop in the morning and then the other times were preventative just to keep the air purged from the pump. Each time I definitely got air before fuel from the purge bolt. GLAD that I brought the wrench along cuz I was able to ride her back home safe and sound.

Clearly it's time to install the lift pump and relay harness that is waiting in her stall.

Stay tuned.

I'd still be looking for the source of the leak, otherwise your just fixing the symptoms.
A new Racor filter body would probably sort it out.

Carrying on with the stripping of my parts Jeep.
The strength difference between an 8.25 and a 30a is quite obvious when you look at them!
