I had to really wail on my u-joints with a hammerfer and socket to break it loose. A vice wouldn't have done it, but is what you'd want to use when pressing new ones in. Btw, holding onto the socket with channel locks makes it a lot less likely for you to hit your hand, unless your eyes are closed! ;)

I need to get under there one day and see if I can't find the driveline clunk. not sure if it's because I'm a manual and therefor it shows up more easily, or if something is loose that shouldn't be, but I have a lot of driveline lash, or so it seems to me.

I washed and waxed my KJ today.
This is not my KJ in this photo but I wanted to share this anyway.

I wonder if the 4x KJ Front Guard will work with the plow mount attached.

In the vise, tighten down good, sockets on either side, couple of whacks with a 3 lb sledge on the vice and they pop right loose . Just don't buy a cheap Chi**** vise , only buy American :icon_lol:

REQUEST:
can I get some underneath shots from some people, of the crash buffer plastic behind the rear bumper? I'm 99.99% sure these ******** DID NOT replace mine and it's buggered, but I'd like to see other people's to verify.

Thanks!

All you guys waxing your Jeeps are making me feel guilty. I really need to get that done soon while I (barely) still have a chance.

Well I heard snow on the forecast for Sunday. I'd rather not wax in the snow lol

Oil change, tire rotation, had the door latch replaced and the PCM flashed for an update.

what PCM flash? what's it for? does it help drivability with the satanic drive-by-wire these things have when bolted to a manual?

Power train control module update may help in shifting / less sloppy performance in autos.
Anyone know what is the date of the latest update for the 42RLE?
It has been pouring rain about 7 inches here in the last 2 weeks.
After the Meguires #3 wax job, I forgot how much the water beads up. Nice to see it that way again!
