True. We figured we saved about $3k on the job. Already have the t-handle, already had the brass fittings to connect the pump to the plastic pipe, the wire was plenty good so we tinned the ends then soldered them together, put heat shrink over the joins then splicing tape and electrical tape over that. Teflon tape on all the threads, too. All of which we had here.
Switching from 230v to 115v, we removed the double breaker from the panel and put in the 2 single 20 amp breakers that were sitting on top of the panel. The second one is just waiting for whatever we might need next
The only cost was the wholesale cost of the pump (less than half price) and our time.
