Got rear ended on Friday heading home from work, Slowing down in traffic to around 10kph when a car slammed into the back of me at around 60kph, Blew in the front end of his car as my trailer hitch and trailer hitch hook took most the impact and destroyed his radiator, Messed up the paint on my rear bumper, Dented in my gas tank skid plate and looks like bent the spare tire carrier but worst of all is something is wrong with my transmission, The one that was professionally rebuilt a year ago, Keeps grinding and clunking when changing upshifting and downshifting, Thank god for full coverage insurance, Now waiting for an adjuster to get a hold of me so I can get a rental vehicle and get my Jeep looked at :( A classic case of not keeping your eyes on the road...

Oh man, sorry to hear that. Hope they fix it for you.

still under warranty?

If you want a need jeep.
This is a pretty easy fix. Wish I had a few grand to spare.

Jeep Liberty "Low Miles" | eBay

That's actually a heck of a deal. Looks like an easy enough repair, and the jeep looks to have been excellently taken care of before it hit the deer.

yeah. I really want it but don't have the cash.
If you look at the carfax, the first owner had it serviced by the dealership.

It has everything but the tow package and most likely skid plates.
Parts would be about $1k not including getting the AC flushed and recharged.

Stock radio and used a pen. I had to look up the procedure for my cheap Armitron watch I wear while working out. If I'm not careful I end up turning the hourly chime on and annoying the crap out of myself.

Speaking of which, do you have the time adjusted on all 384 of your Jeep watches yet? :icon_lol:
I just changed the white Jeep watch & Jeep gas pump at desk.
The rest I'll do as I wear them.
The digital watches I wish would change on their own.
My Timex Ironman, with 2 sets of time, is like a 10 buttons required to be set eek. VCR's are thew worst though, where is that remote at anyways..ha ha!

Sorry to hear you got rear ended..that *****. The insurance will get it estimated and hopefully you can move them in the right direction..fix my JEEP!
Bad driver's are everywhere and I'm also worried about being rear ended here.
Many of these distracted, careless driver's, have previous offenses.
I know what I would like to do to the offender's car..

I hope your insurance company (or maybe more importantly, HIS insurance company) does you right. Sorry to hear about your problem. :(

What kind of car was it BTW?
Please post some pics of the Jeep when you have some available...

Sorry to hear about it....I was the victim of a hit-and-run rear-end collision awhile back...fortunately I had my hitch-mounted bike rack in place and he tore the heck out of his radiator and bumper both hitting me and then throwing it in reverse to get unstuck and make his getaway...by the trail of coolant he left he didn't get real far...the police found him by noticing the tag number I gave on a car parked in an apartment complex with clouds of steam still escaping from the hood....hope your Jeep can be repaired or insurance will pave the way to one just as nice.....

Drove it to work with no heat! I thought this was funny since we seem to have hit spring here after a snowstorm and record cold last week. Still it was around 30F and could have used a little on my feet but stone cold. Deduced my blend door motor wasn't motoring. I drove it yesterday and due to the heat I turned the temp dial all the way to cold. Must have stuck there. Couldn't hear the door motor and engine temp was okay and heater hoses were both hot. Got in it after work and it was fine and I could hear the faint hum of the motor. Guess that means it may be on its way out and dash diving will soon be on my to do list.

Either blew out, or just finally noticed that they were blown, my rear speakers. :(

Oh well.

I seem to recall someone saying something about putting 3.5" speakers in the dash? What's everyone's thought on that, vs just putting component tweeters up there?

Don't think you'll have enough power the infinity amps to power those.

If you have the infinity set up you should replace the dash speakers with 3.5 inchers but if you do not have the infinity set up then you could just put tweeters. Or you can get 3.5 inch speakers and wire in a 4 channel amp like i did. FYI the infinity factory amplifiers are junk.

Drove it to the place that installed my alarm a couple months ago so I could ask a few questions. While there, I noticed that my upper radiator hose had backed itself a good inch away from the engine side. Readjusted it in the rain and checked it again when I got home.

I noticed that the radiator side has the standard clip and the engine side has a hose clamp. I'm not trusting that hose clamp too awful much right now. :emotions34:

Parked liked a jeep owner up the side of a snow bank. Then I was curious before I left I backed up as far as I could go until I started slipping. This thing amazes me time and time again. I felt as though I could have tumbled forward is was so steep!

I reused my OEM clamps, has not budged at all.
Did you install a new top rad hose?
Or I see possibly something in your future besides an OEM Clamp?
