Had someone cut into the plastic and used an impact hammer to pound down the pinch weld and bought 1.25" wheel spacers for the front and back. Still have to rejoin the plastic and push in by the fog light assembly.

Anybody got a picture, or link to an older thread where this mod is done? A YouTube vid would be peachy also!

No need for an impact hammer :icon_lol:
large hammer is all you need to use
Should be some threads on it, I've written up several times the way I do mine, no need for videos

I didn't get video but I have some pics from where I melted the plastic back together. FOREWARNING it looks like a noob job because..well I am a noob in auto mechanics because I am a computer tech. As for as putting the wheel spacer on, that would be the shortest video ever cause all you do is clean off where you put the spacer on, dab a few drops of red loctite which comes with the kit, slide the spacer on, torque to 90 lbs and add the tire back on.

Hi mike

Which measure wheel spacers you have in mind to put in front?

I had the same problem that you have and i put 7/32" wheel spacer and the problem was resolved.

1.25" bolt on hub centric spacers. I wish i thought about slip on spacers.

How does it work out for you? No problems so far?

day 3 without the jeep....i'm losing my mind. on the bright side it will have 4.10's, DTT's, new cv axles and the rebuilt front driveshaft installed when I get it back. so I've got that going for me, which is nice.

I had put 1.25" spacers on my KJ but i had notice some issues on speed performance. I remove them. After i took it off the speed performance return to normal. Since that day i didn't use the spacers for the moment. I put some time ago a question in the forum related to the performance on wheel spacers. That was just my case on 1.25' spacers. Don't get me wrong about it. Probably you would not had the same issue that i do.

Not saying that was in your head, but that was in your head! lol
Absolutely no way are adapter spacers going to affect speed performance, unless in doing so caused the tires to rub on the fenders.

I'm putting 1.25" spacers on soon, but only on front. I dont care about looks. If it wasnt for jba a arm and bigger tire, i wouldnt even have considered it. I have a friend of mine who put 1.5 spacer on bmw x5 with 24 or 26" rims. It looks good but definitely not something i want to drive.

Stopped at the beer store and stocked up. Had the AC blasting the whole time 'cause it's brutal outside.
