Went out to drive home from work late last night and heard a chime go off. I knew I had plenty of gas...

...then I saw the G A S C A P notice. Got out, tightened it, no luck. Got out again, took it clear off and then put it back on. No more chime.

???????

Gas cap must have been lonely...:emotions34:

Pulled the radiator and intercooler. Seems designed to plunk in easy at the factory as an integral unit with the AC/PS cooler and electric fan. An awkward complex delicate puzzle for anyone who touches any of it later.

That was actually yesterday... Held the couch down today.

Loose lonely gas caps and loose lonely women are just drawn to me, I guess. :happy175:

Didn't seem to be. I filled up Sunday evening and had driven another 100 miles or so since then. If it was seated improperly it sure took its time getting noticed. :-s

My thread should be titled : What did your Jeep do To You Today?
Under the hood and suddenly the struts let go and hood came crashing down on my head!:favorites68:
Time for ice and and use of a vise grip to hold the hood up!

My 02 has crankcase breather elements that screw into the heads. Guess an extra one won't hurt. Old ones are toast.

Ouch! Surprised that the failure was so sudden. When mine started to fail it would drop slowly for most of the travel then close quickly.

Ya we went from warmer to just above freezing early this AM.
It stayed up fine and was not sagging, and then...clunk.

Interesting, you want fogs casting the orange coating.
Wonder how that may effect life to bulb though.

From what I've read on forums, doesn't harm the bulb life as long as you don't touch them prior to dipping or painting.
