I keep mulling doing that, but for me it just rapes the space back there.

Also, that thing out your hitch, good god your shins must be destroyed by now.

i highly recommend the spring clamp versus the screw clamp.

the last mech who replaced my radiator changed it to the screw clamp without me knowing.

x.x

Why?

I just swapped mine over because those spring clamps were so hard to get off I never want to deal with them again.

Seriously, spent half an hour trying to get the lower hose clamp off the thermostat housing.

I have never had a screw clamp fail on me.

Just to be clear on exactly what kind, mine are now like these but bigger: https://kegworks.scdn5.secure.raxcdn.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/6/2/6202-beer-line-screw-clamps-1_1.jpg

even clamping force
no flat spots
no risk of breaking any plastic by over tightening
no risk of over tightening and cutting through hose

I found out how to trick the computer into thinking it has a catalytic converter. I also am getting ready for the big 4.10 swap coming up soon.

I have done so much to the jeep in the past week its not even fun anymore. Started a week and a half ago. Went to start her up and she wouldn't. Starter tried and i had good voltage just no start. Laid on the gas and got it running but oh man does it sounds bad. Let off the gas she dies. The code i got was for an injector swapped some plugs around and that code went away. It didnt follow the plug nothing gone. So i got a p0500 ok easy enough. Picked up a connector and sensor. Installed nothing and still getting the code. My father in law suggested pressure testing the fuel system. It was low so took apart my trunk put in a new fuel filter. The pressure went up past 50psi. Still running like crap. Tjkj suggested i service the rear diff and clean it all up with brake clean and lots of it. Did that seems to have gotten rid of the p0500 but i am still running like crap and i got a couple o2 sensor codes. Removed them and cleaned them up still running horrible and still got the o2 codes. When i do get it to idle and i attempt to drive it. She dies once i am done accelerating. It is really like chuggin along and shaking pretty good. Rpms stay around 600 then drop down below 500 and she dies. I also in all of this checked for vacuum leaks and removed and clean the throttle body and iac. Iac was really dirty throttle body wasnt too bad. It almost feels like she is misfiring every cylinder. No codes for that though. I did the spark plugs a few weeks ago. Since then it has been running flawlessly like no hint of any proble superb. The day before this all started we drove highway city multiple starts and everything was fine. She sat ofver night less than 24hrs and this is what i got.

Hmmm... Bad cats?

Edit: Whoops, just saw the other thread. I like TJKJ's idea.

.

I did get to replace my radiator yesterday. Only changed out the bottom hose though. Figured the top one would be easy enough to get to and see signs of failure. Screw those crimp clamps - I went with regular hose clamps.

!

Special "plier-like" tools for removing/replacing the crimp clamps. One has a cable extension for long reaches.

I'm not a fan of them either but they're easier with the right tool... (Thanks Leeann!)

Drove it around all day. Rented a trailer to move everyone else's shit and nobody reimbursed me? How does that work? I feel like I shouldn't have to ask. And I feel like I shouldn't have to ask for money for the tank of gas I used either.

Yeah, you MUST have those special hose-clamp pliers and those clamps come right on/off with no drama.

Now you know who your real friends are and those people are not among them. At the very least they should have paid for the trailer rental and your gas with no questions asked........never mind a few beers and pizza or something afterwards. They just took advantage of you.

Wait: you rented a trailer to help someone else move and they didn't reimburse you? What kinda shit is that?

They'd be getting the rental bill and the gas receipt.

Two types of people in the world. Givers and takers. Everyone falls into one of those categories. Sounds like some people just revealed themselves as takers. :blah:

What I did today:
KJ: Nothing, it sat today
KL: Drove it
XJ: Assessed the rust on it, not looking good at all. :blah:

Right. But I thought that was common sense.

Guess not.

It's not like he forgot. He was with me when I picked the trailer up. And got gas. Come on. Don't make me ask...

why were you paying for the trailer to begin with. if it wasn't your shit you were hauling, as soon as uhaul asked for money I'd be looking at the person i'm with with the look of "I ain't whipping it out."
