Bought a 2003 Liberty Limited

1) Bought a Black 2003 Liberty Limited (few days ago)

2) had a new Alpine CDE-143BT stereo and front door speakers installed

3) replaced the front Turn Signal Light Covers from Amazon, cheap, that fit perfectly.

4) replaced the bulbs in the front driver side turn signals.

5) ordered new socket connectors because the lens was cracked and water had been getting in and corroded the connectors. side (small) p/n 55156754-AA, front (large) p/n 68060655-AA

6) bought a steering wheel cover from wmart. saw a warning on it that it "contains lead and chemicals known to cause cancer".

7) returned steering wheel cover to wmart.

8) bought identical looking steering wheel cover from O'Ri...., no warning on packaging.

now all I need is a new 2nd key made and to order and install the 4 prong trailer lights cable (read the trailer thread earlier).

future plan is to have the hood and top buffed/sanded and repainted. the clear coat is pealing off the top and looks like it's been buffed off the hood.

If you look almost every single thing you can buy "In known to contain materials that cause cancer" all because of California.

Just remember oxygen and water can kill you just as easily as a gun.

Changed the differential oil, front and rear. Used 85W-140, which I am regretting already.

Greased my JBA A-Arms. Remember: You can't hug a child with JBA A-Arms.

Why are you regretting it? I think that's what's in mine, has been for the past few changes.

Meh. It's been as cold as -34F here and the KJ seems good with it. Don't loose sleep over it

I remember going into work one day when it was about -12 in my old Tracker. The thing literally was groaning.

As for sleep, what's that? ;)

Alright, I get it - UNCLE!!! :happy175:

I expect to have to do a little long-distance towing before long and thought it might be a good idea. Then when I saw how doggone thick the stuff was I started thinking that the cold weather would not be too far off, and...

Anyway, good to know that it's OK. Thanks. :)

It will feel like driving through oatmeal for the first 200ft in the negative numbers lol. After that it's fine.

Used the Liberty to haul my boat out to go fishing. I liked it compared to my full size chevy truck as I could still see the boat in my mirrors as it started down the ramp. I could only see the boat in my side mirrors on the chevy when cornering and the boat/trailer would disappear from the rear view on a steep boat ramp. The boat isn't a big Lund but a welded aluminum flat bottom Grizzly 1654 and the Jeep pulled it up the hills as well as my old chevy ever did

Southern Richland county, in March I usually fish for walleye at Genoa
Cool...not that far from me! I go through Genoa to head out to River Roadhouse.
HJ is angling (see what I did there?) to be invited along. Watch it - he will drink all your beer.

Wow. I think prof is just fishing for a compliment on his joke but I'm not going to take his bait. :winner_third_h4h::happy175:
