Drove it to California and back (California, MD that is) for a meeting. Chauffeured the husband and kid.

Both ways in the rain and buffeting winds. All good and the Libby got 17.4 for the trip.

All I've been able to do is look at her since Saturday. Had a huge tumor removed from under my upper hamstring on Saturday so been in bed since getting out of hospital on Sunday. Should be able to have a short drive this afternoon.

Damn...that hurts just thinkin' about it. Get better.

Same or better gas mileage*, 150 more HP, a lot more towing capacity, and a TON more gadgets and gizmos! ...less clearance...but it won't be going off-road much. :)

And the luxury of a nice dent in your bank account every month?

Nice! It's the new version of the one I used to have. Mine was an 05 Limited with a Hemi, in silver. It was 2WD (hey it was Florida :gr_grin: ) and it could do an awesome burnout.

Drove back home from VA with the big orange and white van tailgating me the whole way. (U-Haul trailer)

I haven't had any problems under normal circumstances, but I would have to say that, post-lift, if I were regularly towing a trailer I would be in a much bigger hurry to re-gear. I still want to do it, but some of the long uphill stretches in the mountains had me revving a little higher than I'd like. (Nowhere near redline, though.) The trailer was quite heavily loaded.

Well...not bad, really. I put a little chunk of my own cash into it, and they gave me a crap-ton of $$ for the Libby :)happy175:), so it's not terrible. But...I haven't had a vehicle payment for several years, so yeah...I DO notice it! :Insane:

Drove it over the river and through the woods (okay, okay...over the river, over the bay, across the flats, across the narrows, across the flats THEN through the woods) to a funeral. And back. In mist. Kinda tired of mist.

The Libby didn't care about the mist, though, and took the trip in stride. Ran perfectly and, from what I could tell, got great gas mileage.

Well rockauto came through

Found 2 MOPAR wheel bearings for $104 a piece
Found 2 MOPAR rear trailing arms for $39 a piece
Found 1 “MOPAR” rear upper arm for $104*

* they claim it is a mopar brand in a different box , 1 of 1 available
I don’t see any mopar markings on the arm or the trailing arms ?

Still waiting on the bearings to arrive


Installed my 4 new I infinity kappa 62.11i speakers
I lost the low boomy bass but the built-in tweeters give the mids and highs a whole new audible stage in the jeep.
Maybe after they break in I’ll get some more lows back. It’s quite crisp and punchy
I’ve done full component set ups in my other vehicles this is the first just running off the decks power supply.

Installed new ceramic brakes and rotors. I was so tires of the last pads Jeep installed, they created so much dust the wheels would only last clean a week. They were so easy to replace. $153 total for parts at Napa.

Just today had a 6X12 following me from C-bus to the new homestead , loaded to the gills ( washer / dryer, two rear diffs, 3 front diffs, you know normal Jeep owner things LOL) and rolling along . Last week the 03 followed a 20 foot UHaul down the same road, this is getting to be a habit, bad habit. :help::emotions34::favorites68:

Yeah. Well hopefully I got a deal on bearings and arms. I’m a moog / timken guy but if mopar bearings lasted 160k then hey why not right ?

I’m hoping this will solve my issues I been having with the back end feeling squirrely off road.

The only thing coming up on the Jeep is an oil & filter change soon.
Going to have to do a major wash/ salt clean up soon, as we got 10" of snow yesterday...
So nice to engage Part Time and be safely on your way! ....

having a love/hate relationship with the weather.
raining the next couple days.
don't like rain.
like snow less.
but snow storms 3"+ is an automatic $500 in my pockets each storm. more if it's heavy enough to warrant multiple pushes.
