1-1/16” and somewhere between standard and deep. The socket in the GearWrench set says for use on certain Chrysler oil pressure sending units. The long one fouls with a pulley and you can’t use it, so the shorter one wins.

I had to lay across the upper rad/condenser support with one hand on either side of the pulley; one to find the hole, the other to guide the sensor to the hole and get it started.

That alone took me well over ½ hr. What an idiotic location.

I changed the oil and filter on mine today and it wasn't too bad, it was 40 degrees Fahrenheit but cloudy. I don't know where they hide the oil pressure sending unit on these
pressure sensor - Just above the oil filter...
oops I see Leeann already answered that now...

Last night: did the first oil change on the Renegade at 2620 miles. Pretty easy. Did have to take the front skid plate off though.

Please... any of the chrysler "cloud' cars with the 2.7" transversely mounted. the oil pressure switch is located on the back of the block, above and behind the passenger intermediate shaft, which you have to remove to get the sensor in/out. oh and did I mention there's a tech note about the switch getting contaminated and fouled such that you get false low pressure warning indications at idle?

mounted the snows on the jeep today.

They look like they could be molding defects. I'm going to run over to the shop that sold me the tires and see what they say based on the pictures.

i'm already taking the tire back to the shop tomorrow. I spoke with the owner, he wants to see it and figure out wtf happened.
it's only 1 of the 4 also; all those cuts are in the same quadrant of the tire as well.

Well, between Monday night and Tuesday morning I put in new axle bearings, seals, Napa reman cv's, new inner axle, front brake pads, rotors, and right caliper. Plus about 2 weeks ago I put in new upper ball joints. Now all that's left, that I know of, is to replace the clamp on the lower radiator hose since it's seeping a bit.

Just a note to anyone looking to do the inner axle, don't bother with the Crown brand. It's not in stock anywhere and won't be for who knows how long. I ordered it from Summit Racing and it started at a 2 week backorder and now its at 12/27/19 but was at 1/31/20 a few days ago. I went with the Omix-Ada one on Amazon for $123. worked just fine. Slipped in and clipped without issue, and had it the next day.

I see weathercracking as well there
what is the build date on them ? Maybe an older one in the 4

Replaced the rear left and right seat belts, something tore into them before I bought it. Not a big deal, easy fix.

Ordered the Eibach leveling kit for the WK2. It was 15% sale, and I couldn't resist it this time.

Also ordered some brighter LED reverse lights (stock bulbs might as well be pen lights)

I have been looking off and on for years for a short storage bin or box of sorts that I could put in the basket to hold tools, recovery gear, etc. so I'm not taking up valuable interior space.

But it's a little taller (~14") than I would like. I'm hoping to find something ~6-8" tall to sit nearly flush with the top of the basket. Anybody have any suggestions or seen something that would work, without breaking the bank or doing a custom job? Thanks.

There are a lot of aluminum boxes available there
I have two that are 8-10 inches tall, 16-18 inches wide 30 or so inches long , top opens, sealed when closed, have to go see if there are a name on them, bought them used years ago had them mounted on one of the Rock Lizard racks I had. Have to dig them out of my extra garage with spare parts in it later and see

this spring I desperately want to get to work on roof rails, basket(s), and lights.
I want something low and tight to the roof line to start with, since I have a vertical constraint to get in the garage.
I want it strong enough to support a spare, a roof camper, tool boxes/tools, not necessarily all at once though.
I want basically an entire halo of lights of various colors (white and yellow most likely) doing marker/emergency along with illumination duties.
And probably more stuff i'm forgetting at the moment.

Fluid check, parts check, smell check, feel checks done. Didn't do a taste test on anything this time. 1 oil change away from 200000 miles. Run on, you sweet bastard, run on.
