Ten days ago I celebrated the 9th anniversary of me purchasing my Jeep. Today is the 9th anniversary of me joining this forum. Not really sure how I got by without you all for those ten days back in 2013.

I have a metric ton of hobbies/work to do around mine right now; I legit have little to no reason to leave it, other than to take the kid to TKD 5 days a week.
In the KK’s at least, we have a 19.5 gallon tank. You must have been running on fumes as you coasted into the gas station!

Engine flush and oil change with synthetic. Replaced oil pressure sensor (had 0522). Replaced spark plugs. They were due for sure! But no signs of fouling or anything to cause concern. That made me smile. Flushed cooling system (had red coolant and of course 0128). Replaced temperature sensor and thermostat while I was at it with Mopar of course. This on a 2wd 2004 KJ with 2.4L 5 speed with 150,000miles I just bought last week. My hope is to save enough gas and insurance money to cover the $3,500.00 I paid for it before it dies of old age. My truck got 12mpg and had full coverage insurance which I have now dropped to recreational use only. So far she purrs like a kitten! I got 23.5 mpg on my first tank. After the service I just did and taking my tire pressure up to 38psi I don't see why I shouldn't make my money back in 30 months if gas averages $4.50/gal. and I have high hopes of it lasting for many many years.
Welcome Danakin. The 2.4L with the 5 speed sounds like it could be a fun drivetrain. 23.5 mpg is better than the 6 cylinders can muster, unless going downhill with a tail wind.

I was pretty happy with it! Tires were at around 26psi. Recommended being 33. Having them at 38 I'm hoping to bump it up a little more. I bought it strictly because it was a 4 cylinder and I can't justify driving my truck given the current gas price situation we can't talk about.
Sounds like you put a lot of work into it and it’s running smoothly and efficiently. Definitely will save some dollars.

Just hangin' out.
Five weeks (ish) till the 2022 Great Basin Road Trip. Is a mad dash to finish preparations. Got to squeeze in two more weekenders to polish load out and such. Ordered another skid row plate to finish off the armor. Lots of welding to do. Liberator style roof rack and e-brake resto are top priority. Weather, job, and wife not cooperating with the schedule.
Itinerary is set however: Nebraska, Wyoming, Idaho, Utah, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas, Kansas and Oklahoma- 24 days (30 possible due to weather, fires and dumb shit s in rental RVs)

Installed some OEM recovery points on the front last night. It was really easy! Getting the bumper cover off the KJ is so easy. Its pretty amazing how simple installation and removal of some parts on this vehicle are. Take the front grille for example: No tools required. Just lift 6-7 clips and its pops right off. Installation literally takes seconds. Very efficient design for manufacturing!
Anyways, installing the recovery points was super easy. I could say that I'm excited to try them out- I guess? Hahah. Hopefully I don't need them, but I'm excited to go to the kinds of places where they might be necessary.

I replaced all the old cracking conduit on the engine harness. The old stuff was literally crumbling in my hands when I was taking it off. I did the branch of the harness on top the engine behind the AC compressor, and the branch down the passenger side of the engine that leads to the cam and crank sensors. I used Coroplast 837X tape, it uses an acrylic adhesive that is much more resistant to oil and other solvents compared to traditional electrical tape.

I did this same job last year. The old plastic conduit had the strength of Pringles’ potato chips.

Crunchy old conduit did not compare to Pringles in taste however…

I spent the weekend with my wife and kids installing rockfather deluxe lift kit along with upper control arms and arb front bumper. Must have messed up the wiring for the turn signals so I'll be troubleshooting that. Now hopefully for memorial day I can get a good deal to upgrade to some bigger tires .
