What did you do to your jeep today?

don't forget the weep hole as well.
if it starts weeping, i believe that's a tell tale sign that it's time to replace the WP.

yea i can't tell if it is coming from the weep hole or the gasket though. i replaced the water pump a couple of years ago so i don't think that would be the issue but i'm keeping my eye on it. i may just pull up the receipt for the pump and see if it is still under warranty.

I can show you plenty of defective water pumps that were brand new right out of the box! Very unlikely that just the gasket is leaking unless the pump was not installed correctly

feel like i've been a bad owner.
left it outside to get wet. pulled it in the garage and started hitting the hood with the clay bar. sounds like i'm running 60grit over the hood. I think I'm going to totally trash a brand new bar just getting a first cleanup pass done.

You shouldn't be anywhere near your vehicle when you've been drinking, unless it's to climb in the passenger side.

finished claying the jeep in the rain today. Holy hell some of those panels were DISGUSTING. I'll wait until the next rain storm, then clay it again. Should be ready for wax at that point.

You shouldn't be anywhere near your vehicle when you've been drinking, unless it's to climb in the passenger side.

Seemed better than the tent outside when I went camping last time... I was wrong. Too tall to lay down in the back comfortably, plus the fact the seats don't go flat is hella annoying..
Notice I said sleep on my seat drunk, not drive. I do not condone drinking and driving by any means.
Besides I left my keys in the tent (to keep myself from touching the ignition with them as this is illegal even if the vehicle is not started)..
And to get out of my jeep at that point to make it to the tent.. would've taken the jaws of life to pry me off the rock of a seat that I had become one with

In the rain?? You should be using a good detailing spray with that clay bar. Also thoroughly wash the vehicle before you put a clay bar to it.

It's still acid rain though lol..
Ever seen those white cars that look yellowed as you walk around them? Clearcoat degradation from acid rain..
Also I've seem plenty of acid rain spots on cars that rolled into the shop, and believe me.. they're beyond annoying to get out.
You have to neutralize the stain, clean the car.. scuff and buff like there's no tomorrow...
And they'll still be there lol

Got started on replacing the clutch. Don't really want to but this is an easy vehicle to work on. Started on the EVIC install that I got really lucky finding and also added steering audio controls. I did it the easy/hard way though. I didn't trust myself to cut the plastic well enough so I swapped the backs but my clock spring doesn't have the terminals so I will be swapping that tomorrow!

Hoping to start the install of my H&R springs/lift today along with replacing the BJ and TRE dust boots with Energy Suspension polyurethane boots. I will inspect and replace any worn BJ or TRE if needed. Ordered Moog Problem Solver parts ahead of time, but will return if not needed. I like to plan for the worst so expecting the Libby to be down for a couple days.
