don't drive as much as I did in my yoot. plus if I want to roll 300k on the shadow before it totally rots itself apart, i need to get cracking.

Installed some front end parts on my wifes 02.
Started at 5:00 and done at 8:30. Intermediate shaft, passenger CV, OME 972's and Bilstein front shocks installed.
Evything came apart and went together easy.
Front sitting at 22 inches exactly both sides.
Rear still has the Rusty's springs and shocks and sitting at 21 inches.
Took it for a test ride. Front rides soooooooo much better than it did with the Rusty's spring lift.

Dunno, but we're supposed to see some starting about dusk.

Then again, could have anywhere from a dusting to 6", according to the local morons. Grocery stores are filled with zombies buying milk, bread and toilet paper....

i've been doing that massive re-org in the garage, which also included cleaning up the wife's side, which has the "packaged goods" pantry overflow area. (paper towels, toilet paper, canned goods, drinks, cleaning supplies, etc. things that mice can't/won't eat basically.) I've been feeling like we're under stocked as there's so much freed space now!

@tommudd ... here's a Q for you: if I use my non-contact thermometer to measure the external temperature of the rear pumpkin and the transfer case, how does that correlate to actual internal fluid temperature?

The internal fluid would be very close to what the thermometer would be reading on the surface since it would be heating the metal. Variances would be outside temps/ where you are measuring on the diff/ etc.
Is your's running hot or ?? I used to have one ( non-contact thermometer) and checked mine when towing long distance .
I've seen some when towing large loads get warm enough to burn your hand if you left it touching a diff for example , not good.

Changed these crusty, junk Champion plugs. Who knows when these were put in, but I’m glad they’re gone.

I thoroughly cleaned everything before re installing the plugs and packs. Hopefully this fixes my issue of it dying randomly.

Also, I highly recommend this socket to add to your set for plug changes

No issues I know of, yet. Next time the car trailer is hooked up though I'd like to take some measurements. What temps are no bueno for the diff?

holy hell dude, that's NASTY. there's supposed to be a seal over the plug I thought, to prevent such from happening.

I agree lol. I cleaned all of the gunk out and put in new coil packs, hopefully it seals a little better! I’m surprised it ran as good as it did until I got my other car and it sat.

I have a full set of those sockets ( for all size plugs ) they work great for sure
As far as those plugs never seen any that bad , new plugs should make a huge difference

It does seem to have fixed the issue. It runs better and doesn’t die so that’s a good sign!
A more thorough drive tomorrow should tell me if it did indeed fix it or not, but they clearly needed changed anyway

When I put in new coil packs, one of the seals was missing, eek.
If you are not 100% sure on the seals, I would double check them all to make sure they are all there.
I used Dielectric grease on the seal and clean inside the coil pack/ blow out with compressed air is good too.
