Nothing really. Bike rack with 3 bikes, camping stuff. Its entirely possible they were packed wrong. Who knows. They are the 948. Other issue is the 927 are so stiff that the front is a little higher than the rear. These are to make it more even and project headlights down the road better.
dude I stick 560# of pavers in the back and I barely drop 1/2", and the 500# plow on the front as well. avatar picture is real. she rides stiff with just me, but 3 of us, all our isht for a 2 week trip to the Outer Banks, Yakima 4-timer and 3 bikes on it, and she rides great.
and if you think the 927s are stiff, try the 790s! :D handle the plow great though.

I replaced the gas spring on the glass hatch about 2 years ago.
I recently noticed that the ball socket on the car body side is for 10mm, so I put a tight PVC cap on the ball to make it closer to 10mm.
An 8mm socket is probably correct, but many gas springs sold have a 10mm socket.
The socket is replaceable, but I couldn't find an 8mm one.
The rattling noise from the glass hatch has been partially cured. The other half of the problem was due to latch position adjustment.
