Hello everyone! So I am kicking code P0700 and I know that is the TCM. But I literally just changed the filter and fluid. Has anyone come across the same thing? I drove it around the block and it seems to shift fine. It took a bit of time for all the fluid to circulate properly but all seems good now. Just confused as to what I should do next and I knew posting this question would tap into some experts out here. Thanks in advance!

took off my rear sway bar (KK) because i started to remove the end-links for replacement, ended up having to cut-off one end of them because seized, and the other ends are still seized in the nut attached to the vehicle. now i'm driving around no rear sway bar and end-links hanging down from the back. hooray, rust!

Now that the fluid's everywhere it needs to be, try resetting the codes by disconnecting the battery terminals and taping them together for 15-20 minutes? Probably tossed the code due to lack of fluid pressure on start up.

Well I ended up purchasing the 2005 Jeep Liberty. I got it for $5k, and insurance paid me $7k on my totaled Jeep, so I got an extra $2k for repairs and tires. The ball joint boots are torn in the front, so I'll need to replace the front control arms soon. I'm probably going to need new tires in the next month or so as well. I'm going to replace the engine oil, differential fluids, and transfer case fluid as well. The power steering, brake, coolant, and transmission fluids all look good so those should be fine. I'm currently getting terrible gas mileage (15mpg on the highway), so I'm going to inspect the spark plugs and look to change those out along with the PCV valve. Hopefully that fixes the MPG problem... My 06 averaged 20 mpg with mixed highway and city driving, so that's what I want this one to be getting as well. I also need a new engine air filter because the previous owner has one of those terrible K&N air filters installed.

There are all sorts of dirt roads, mostly one lane, that wind through hollows and over creeks, then up and over mountains.

There are over 100 primitive campsites in the state forest that can be reserved at the forest headquarters for $10 a night. Each one has a picnic table and a fire pit.

I even found a road named after me!

It was a two track that ended at a closed gate after about a mile and a half. There were a couple of great campsites and a 1940’s era hunting cabin down there. Pretty cool.

Cooling off the drivetrain and enjoying a snack.

It was a fun afternoon exploring. I saw no other vehicles except for a few parked at their campsites. This place is HUGE and I don’t think I even scratched the surface.

Back at my campsite for the evening.

YOU DO NOT have to replace the lower control arms if you need LBJs
Not the way it works
Remove knuckle, get a ball joint kit from one of the zones , rent it , and there ya go
MOOG PART NUMBER: MOOG-K80767 for greaseable ball joints
Looks mean nothing really when looking at fluids , unless they look brand new
NGK copper plugs of course

Found more parts today , was talking to a guy at the gas station and he mentioned he had a CRD KJ that was rolled in an accident
Said I had just bought new stock CRD springs from MOPAR and new Bilstein shocks a while ago, way before wife rolled it
Just never got the time to install them
Of course had to ask what he did with them and said he still had them in his basement
So for 100 bucks and a 15 dollar pizza I have all 4 MOPAR CRD springs and a full set of HD Bilsteins
Guess they are going on the 05 since I sold the OME setup I had on it ( I got to stop doing that, getting to old switching parts around LOL )
Ride should be like running OME 927s ( 400 LB compared to 410 for the CRD ) but just not much lift since I use it mainly to haul my 90 year old Mother

where I grew up, people who didn't like that method, found themselves dealing with a hole too. :D
We have very old strip mines in the counties around here
Lots of High Walls that " things " fall over accidently
holes take too long to dig

I bought a 04 Liberty, it had really bad valve cover leak and other things that need to be dealt with. I finished removing both valve covers today and I can’t stop myself from cleaning them up, prepping them and painting them. As for the 03 Liberty I did a oil change on it today, I was going to replace the thermostat till one of the 8mm that holds the thermostat housing stripped on me ( I shall see how that goes tomorrow ) and looks like grease is building up on the passenger side axle might change also and last but not least the 07 Liberty, for this little Tedious project I got recommended to change the transmission fluid first and then go from there ( only makes slight grinding noise when letting of clutch, doesn’t have no problem getting into gear and never pops out of gear plus I replaced clutch master cylinder not too long ago) pics might come soon

filled it was gas, towed the car trailer around for about 50 miles, to see if the tires would round out and the violent shaking would go away. good news is, it's back to feeling like it did before the trip last year (still vibrates a little, but that's probably the crappy old tires. i have new wheels+tires ready to go back on.) bad news is, at some point it broke the welded on mounting flange for one end of the fender off. at least again, crappy old tires so when they rubbed on the fender it didn't mess up the good ones. it's all welded back together again.

now time to figure out when I can get to Schenectady, NY to pick up another car.

Good to know it's possible, as it's something mine badly needs - but in the 8 months I've had it, I've not seen them much less be able to get to them.

LOL. Might that explain why he often assumes others are as familiar with this model as he is?
Common sense , just very simple to look and see what needs removed
Some make it seem harder than it actually is in real life
Just like removing the front diff, if you go by the JEEP LIBERTY Service manual put out by Jeep it shows 3 hours or so to just remove , but once underneath a couple of cut bolts , a few to remove and you can R&R one in way less than time
I never assume anything, from first posts you can usually tell if someone doesn't know the difference between a tack hammer or a 3 pound sledge . Then go from there
