the same thing happened on my liberty. I drilled 4 holes in each and used tek screws to put them back on. No axle or e brake removal. Cost all of a buck. That was 3 years ago. Still holding fine.

I didn't get to see the extent of the damage, but shop manager said there's about a quarter sized hole where rivet spot should be. These guys also know my background in Automotive. He also knows I'm one who doesn't mind an ''Executive Solution'' to fix things if possible. He said last night doing both sides is a recommendation, not necessarily to be done but the driver side a precaution. Since the backing plate broke on the rear passenger and busted the speed sensor which right now I have rigged and working. (It pays to be an electrical genius) So he said he would do just the one side but to be weary of the driver side being not far behind. I'm not wondering if the extreme cold may have had a hand but I'm also hot headed after I paid a stupid high price back in Feb for an extensive inspection this wasn't noted before I took my trip to Florida and back.

John317 was an over night guest at Mudds Guest Lodge last evening
Worked some on his and the Low Down Green 03
All leather seats in the Low Down , after sitting in my garage for a year to go in my 04:emotions34:

Always a great time having John stop in on his travels :gr_grin:
Mac and I had a good time, Thanks for everything John

See I didn't mentioned anything else that was done to yours!!

Nice! :waytogo:

So did you get the power and heat wired up? That was the longest part of the install for me - getting "creative" with the wire harness

What a fun day - 4 KJ's, new/old parts to install, a friend who "gets" the Jeep thing...

Priceless :party52:

No heat on mine so that wasn't an issue, power John got inventive and its wired up with no issues but super simple, not even using the jumper cables to move them now :emotions34::gr_grin::ROFLJest:

I also installed and tested out the final round of fitting for my 5" lift. Makes those 32" tires look small.

Are you gonna release the details of that 5 inch lift????
Probably not. Its out of the reach of most people, as far as custom fab. I have a few lined up for a few guys, think 2 KJs and 3 KKs, or the other way around.

Can we get a pic of whatever you did up front? I'm interested in what you did to take care of the cv angles(cradlendrop?) and control arm angles.

Haven't felt all that great for a few days, so I decided to take a quiet and easy drive up a road I've only been on a couple times. I was only in 4WD for about a minute, but it was a pleasant drive. It's the beginning of fall and also deer hunting season. Met a couple hunters in a nice JK going the opposite way, chatted a bit and then drove on. Up and over the mountain like a huge circle to get home again. Only got lost once and didn't mind.

Jim, the color saturation in that pic is incredible! Glad you had a chance to get out and enjoy your KJ and nature.

Getting lost can be lots of fun :waytogo:

Did a 4wd launch at the stoplight on a 4dr civic SI. I put about 3 carlengths on him almost instantly and kept pulling. I let off around 70, and of course he goes flying by at 100mph like he was doing something. I think I was more surprised than he was lol. He didn't even have any bs excuses when he pulled into the store to talk. Really loving the 245's and 4.10's, it's got a little pep to it

Finished the timing belt, and even got the valve cover gasket done. :mexsmoke: Had to remove the entire intake. It's supposed to split apart, but I couldn't find out how. The gasket kit even comes with upper and lower gaskets.
Started it up for a couple minutes, just to make sure it would. No coolant in it yet, having trouble finding radiator hoses.

Next up, muffler and tailpipe.
