What was the clearance grinding on the bottom plate for, does it require some end user custom fitting? Does your rearend feel any different now? ;)

Didn't grind anything direct bolt on
This one has been on and off of my 2004 a few times, on the green one as well now and also stuck in the vice, dropped etc its had a hard life already :icon_lol:
Its full production piece but still a tester as well
My rearend feels...........Oh the KJs rear feels way better with the new setup, nice / firm/ no soft feeling when taking off.
I removed it and installed a new ( less than 3000 miles Mopar trilink back on) to see the difference, went two miles and came back to swap back. When hammer down from a light it just hooks and goes

That's what it is, an optical delusion.
The angle at which said bolt visually intersects with the lower bracket makes it look like it has a shiner.

I should have video taped the hideous noise coming from the Jeep's passenger door hinges!
All I had was some Mobil1 5w-30, and a toothbrush to apply it with.
That worked..ah no more haunted Jeep door.

Yea he took a corvair body and dropped it on a blazer frame. Alot of work was put into it. He got that motor for $400. His brother in law rebuilt it. I wasnt able to attend wish i was there. I like the exhaust coming straight out the top. But yea the corvair had the engine in the trunk so there wasnt much space for that motor under the hood.

I am jack's intrigued soul, looking at that 4 link.
I replaced my boomerang right after I did my lift, and it still feels like the rear axle is moving around sometimes. would that 4 link solve that problem?

back in late 74-early75 we did a tube frame with a Corvair body and a small block Chevy in the back seat, it was a killer handling machine, radiator up front exhaust was two driveshafts from a truck with a couple of baffles stuck in

I finally found radiator hoses for my 4cyl. Talked to my buddy at the Dodge stealership, "$135ea:favorites68:", "not in stock", "not available", "contact vintage parts"!?!?!?!
He gave me some part numbers, and I crossreferenced them on a couple sites until I found Continental (Good Year) part numbers, and got those off ebay for $75 shipped.

Now I'm really admiring that link from Tom! If mines bad, I'm going to be spending less than Mopar original, and likely get springs too.:mexsmoke:

I went wheeling yesterday and slid my passenger front tire into a gully. Tried to unlock the front Arb in time but I was already sliding so I doubt it would've helped. It felt like the rig was crabs walking down the road. I spent a few hours with simple green and a pressure washer, I hate wrenching with dried clay falling all over me. The engine cradle bolts were a little loose amd it shifted about 1/8-1/4". You can barely see an outline of where it was before, so hopefully it won't be too bad. Not like I had anything better to do on the first sunny day in 2 weeks .

Sent from my G870a on 38's.

^ Shifting cradle not good. As long as nothing leaking / bent or busted, that's what counts.
I would probably want to have the alignment checked/ done now.

Why are they so expensive and hard to get for you? Out of curiosity I checked the online lookup for a local part store as I have access to their catalog and they list the upper continental hose (66038) at $30.97 and lower continental hose (66039) at $47.97. And parts are much more expensive up here!

Replaced my backup lamp switch under warranty again. This time I slathered everything in component B Sealant (dielectric grease) and used some extra teflon tape. Hopefully this works.
